Welcoming family home 5 mins walk from Falmouth centre, close to pubs & beaches
Central location, a short walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. This quiet street is an ideal location for exploring.
A relaxing family home with a spacious living area and kitchen plus three large double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
In addition, it has a lovely terraced garden with outdoor seating area.
The living room has a corner sofa, 2 seater sofa and armchair. The wood burning stove can be used for a cosy night in (logs charged for if used).
Downstairs there is a superking bedroom, which can also be a twin with fitted wardrobes. The downstairs shower room has a toilet.
The large kitchen/diner has access to a useful utility space with washing machine, freezer and tumble drier. Both rooms have direct access to the lower paved garden area.
The kitchen opens out onto a beautiful terraced garden that provides a secluded, sunny space for sitting out on comfy seating or use of a trestle table for outdoor eating.
On the first floor is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. There is plenty of bathroom storage.
The second bedroom is a lovely light, airy double room with view out over the garden.
The third bedroom is a large room with a double bed and window overlooking the front.
Please note that access to the house is via a slightly sloped path and fairly steep steps without a handrail. There is a disabled space about 5 metres from the house front. If accessibility is challenging getting to the front door, the path up the side of the house is easier for someone with a walker, however there are still some steep steps.
There is gas central heating throughout the house.
You will have access to all areas of the house and garden apart from the top floor and garage.
Falmouth and what's on offer nearby:
Very close to the beautiful natural harbour (the third largest in the world) with its winding streets, town beaches, old harbour-side pubs and plenty of independent shops. It’s also home to the National Maritime Museum an excellent day out for the whole family. Set above the town on its own peninsula sits Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII with superb panoramic sea views. Centrally located with everything a short walk from the house you won’t need a car to explore the town however free parking is available on the streets surrounding the property on a first come first served basis or the Quarry Street carpark is a short walk away.
Falmouth has 3 town beaches, Castle Beach with its wonderful café overlooked by the promenade and a small strip of sand, excellent for rock pooling. Gyllyngvase (Gylly) is the largest sandy beach a popular place to swim, with a large café which serves excellent food and a large outdoor terrace. Swanpool is a sand and shingle beach with easy parking and a small independent café and the Beach House restaurant with outdoor seating with views over the beach.
The main harbour has a number of small ferries and boat trips to various locations within the harbour and beyond to the Helford River. St Mawes is a picture-perfect Cornish seaside village with various beaches set in the Roseland Peninsula. Flushing directly across is another gem with some nice pubs and independent eateries. The Helford is a little further but with the Ferry Boat Inn among its attractions.
Eating and drinking out:
Only 200 yards from the property is The Boathouse. Pub of the year Gold 22/23 one of Falmouth’s favourite pubs and one of only a handful of independent free houses in the local area. Excellent food any day of the week but Sunday lunch is not to be missed. The town has so many fantastic places to eat from fine dining at Indidog to pizza at The Stables or if you fancy something more exotic the Thai E San on the Moor. Small independent coffee shops are plentiful to keep you going during the day.
Food shopping:
Within walking distance there is a Tesco Express which is open 7 days a week. Larger supermarkets such as Sainsburys in Falmouth itself or Asda on the Penryn bypass are a short drive away.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
With many beaches nearby, the vibrance and friendliness of the town, you just can't beat it.
Falmouth is ideally located to visit other areas of Cornwall - the North coast for more dramatic landscape and surfing and further west.
Falmouth has an amazing vibe, with lots going on even throughout the winter. Lots of independent shops, bars and restaurants proud to stock and sell high quality Cornish products and food.
