Ein Landhaus zwischen Parma und Reggio Emilia.

Eine komplett unabhängige Wohnung von ca. 60 Quadratmetern mit einem Schlafzimmer (Queensize-Bett 160 x 200 cm), eigenem Bad, Wohnzimmer mit Essbereich und voll ausgestatteter Küche. Supermärkte, Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Geschäfte sowie gute Restaurants und Pizzerien sind in fünf Minuten erreichbar. Ausgestattete Terrasse für Outdoor-Aktivitäten, Grill, Garten und Swimmingpool. Der Pool wird mit den Eigentümern geteilt.
Die Wohnung liegt zwischen den Dörfern Quattro Castella und Bibbiano und ist Teil eines 70 Hektar großen Grundstücks, das größtenteils mit Weinbergen (Lambrusco) bewirtschaftet wird. Auf halbem Weg zwischen Parma und Reggio Emilia sind die beiden Orte bequem in einer halben Stunde mit dem Auto erreichbar. Weitere Ziele von historischem und kulturellem Interesse, die mit dem Auto leicht erreichbar sind, sind: die Ruinen des Schlosses der Vizekönigin von Italien, Mathilde von Canossa, aus dem 11. Jahrhundert, die Schlösser von Colorno, Fontanellato, San Secondo, Torrechiara und Sabbioneta (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe) und Modena, das pulsierende Zentrum des „Motortals“ mit den Museen Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani und Maserati. Ein ausgezeichneter „Ausgangspunkt“, um Ihre Kenntnisse über einen noch ruhigen Teil der Region Emilia Romagna zu vertiefen, der nicht vom Massentourismus überlaufen ist und den meisten derzeit nur für das Angebot an hervorragenden DOC-Lebensmitteln wie Parmigiano Reggiano, Parmaschinken, Felino-Salami, Balsamico-Essig, Tortellini und für seine renommierte Küche in der Ruhe der Landschaft bekannt ist.

Margherita and Stefano were the best hosts ever. i will return someday. charming property, well appointed and full of area information. i was in Italy/Sicily for 5 weeks and this was one of our most rewarding and relaxing stays. a most convenient location for touring the entire area.

A really relaxing holiday in a very quiet and peaceful location

Well renovated and very well equipped one bedroom accommodation in the countryside set amongst fields of crops and vineyards. Lovely getaway

A lovely charming cottage on a beautiful estate! Everything you need and more is there. The swimming pool is lovely bonus on a hot day! Good location for excursions, Parma and Modena are easily accessible. The hosts are very kind and helpful. They have great tips for trips in the area as well as top addresses to eat out. We enjoyed our stay very much!

A relaxing friendly stay

Lovely property, very comfortable and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Stand and Margarita were perfect hosts and even arranged a visit to a local parmigiano producer. The converted barn is perfectly located for trips to Parma, Reggio Emilia and Bologna and to the hill in the south.

Love this Property

We loved our stay at Quattro Castella! The property was exactly as described and so much more. It was peaceful and relaxing and perfect after a day of exploring the area. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed for preparing our meals. We loved the living room area and spent our evenings talking about our day and planning the next. We used the info provided by our host to plan our trips and meals. Such a perfect stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful farmhouse nestled in the countryside

We LOVED our stay at the cottage. Comfortable, cozy and fully equipped with everything you need for a great experience! Our hosts, Stefano and Margherita were wonderful. We made several trips to shop, sightsee and eat in nearby Parma, Modena and Reggio nell' Emilia. Would definitely recommend this property to everyone!

We enjoyed the house (very complete accomodated) the very friendly Stefano and Margherita, Nene the friendly quiet dog and the cats, and finally the environment. A topper to stay ! A region to discover. In the house Stefano provided with extensive touristic information.

Well equiped rental, lovely pool!

We were very impressed with the quality of the provision in this rental. Everything had been thouht through and excecuted extremely well, from the insect netting (which actually worked!) to the fans and of course the huge pool! We had our privacy, but Stefano was always available if we had needed any help. We would love to stay here ahain.

Peaceful, warm and friendly

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the renovated barn in Quattro Castella. Our hosts, Stefano and Margherita were absolutely wonderful, giving great recommendations and even offering a welcome aperitif. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the surrounding vineyards provide a great secluded and peaceful feeling. Yet it is only a short distance to great restaurants and places of interest. We highly recommend this place.

Converted barn near Reggio Emilia

We were welcomed by Stephano to a tastefully decorated converted barnhouse. Beautiful surroundings -big mown lawn and vineyards around. The apartment is well set up and the main bed very comfortable. Stefano and Margueta are wonderful hosts but always unobtrusive. We would devintely stay there again.

A great choice

Ideally located to access rail and road links to explore this beautiful region of Emelia Romagna. La Barchessa is an oasis to relax in, to enjoy the beautiful grounds, the rose gardens, so much wildlife - Bird song, red squirrels, cookoos, hares, hawks, deer, Willy the heron & his friend coming into feed at the fish pools, sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, leaving was a bit sad & saying good bye to both Stefano and Margherita who are such good hosts, very helpful and very kind.

A beatiful and peaceful place

This beatiful, tastefully renovated, well-equipped and peaceful place was perfect for us on our one week holiday. It definitely lived up to our expectations! The owners were very helpful before and during our stay. The big garden (for our private use), the surroundings and view are really beatiful. Here it is really easy to relax. Good supermarkets are within a 5 minutes drive. There are plenty to see in the area within one hour by car. We would and hopefully will visit this place again!

We have now stayed with Stefano and Margureta on two occasions,as have our son and daughter in law. On each occasion we have all had a very good time.The cottage is beautifully situated in lovely rural surroundings with a tranquil ambiance. The cottage is well equipped and our hosts could not have been more helpful or friendly Parma and Reggio are easily reached and the region has abundant excellent restaurants. Altogether a wonderfull vacation experience.

A wonderful week of fine weather in the company of our favourite property owners.

Our second stay at the property was a repeat success. The situation is lovely, with easy access through the vineyards. The house itself is comfortably appointed, in a charmingly old-fashioned way, but with all the necessary amenities. We still had much that was new to us to explore in the surrounding countryside and towns. Stefano and Margherita are wonderful hosts, and their command of English means that they are always able to provide helpful advice.

Amazing property with great hosts!

We travelled as friends, and had the must amazing time at this place so homey, clean and beautiful! The garden and outdoor area was spectacular, and the pool was so big and nice! We couldn’t have asked for more.. we ended up spending all of our time there, cause it was so cozy. And I don’t have words for what amazing people the hosts were! So helpful, genuine and nice! Helped us trough so much! We are so greatful! Would 10/10 recommend!

Stefano and Margherita were the kindest hosts. Check in was very easy and they showed us around the property. The house itself was very beautiful, and in the heat of August it stayed very cool. We were given wonderful recommendations to get our groceries and wines. The region itself was very beautiful. We would recommend all big cities around to visit. We spent our time mostly visiting vineyards, which were plenty of in the region. So, after our busy mornings with visiting vineyards, cities or having a hike, we could come back and relax and take a dive in their pool to refresh. We sincerely loved the place, and would definitely come back next time we travel to the region.

A great property, full of character and Stefano and Margherita were great hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at La Barchessa; the property is extremely comfortable and full of great features and furnishings. It is comprehensively equipped with all the utensils/crockery you could possibly need. Stefano and Margherita were extremely hospitable and ensured we had a thoroughly relaxing stay. The property is in a great location for exploring the surrounding towns, but equally allows you to stay more local if you prefer - we went for a couple of bike rides around nearby villages on the bikes that are provided, you can also go for walks on the estate itself and the pool at La Barchessa was very welcome in the hot weather! We would certainly like to visit La Barchessa again in the future.

A charming and comfortable "home" on the road!

We loved our recent stay at La Barchessa. From the moment we arrived, Stefano and Margherita were very accommodating hosts. The cottage, charming and spotless, was a very welcome retreat each day after visiting area castles, churches and nearby cities. We enjoyed the pool and sitting in the different areas around the beautiful and spacious property. The kitchen was generously equipped and made cooking enjoyable. Stefano was easily available to answer questions and give suggestions, in addition to their vast amount of information located in the cottage. We were so glad that we chose La Barchessa to be our "home" while in the Reggio-Emilia area.

An Oasis

What a lovely "home away" Stefano and Margherita have created on their farm. We stayed for a week during our visit to France and Italy. It was a perfect interlude from our immersion in the magnificent sites within these two countries. It offered a place to kick back, relax, still visit wonderful venues but at a much different pace. The guide provided was extremely informative. The "barn" is warm, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Our hosts were helpful and lovely. We hope to return if we are lucky enough to visit Italy again.
