A generous historic 1st floor suite with a king-sized bed, a shower room and separate cloakroom in a Grade II listed building called The Merchant House which is part of the historic Isaacs on the Quay waterfront venue in Ipswich, Suffolk. Guests will benefit from a 20% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages in the bustling bar, café, and restaurant, as well as use of a communal dining room and kitchen.
Full of history with the original fireplace, beams, and low door frames, this beautiful big bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed and plenty of storage so you can unpack and settle in with a wardrobe, bedside drawers, dressing table and stool, chest of drawers. Thereâs a wall mounted TV , tea and coffee making facilities, and a couple of bucket chairs so you can relax after a hard dayâs work or time exploring the town or Suffolkâs beautiful coast and countryside.
EN SUITE
Youâll find an en-suite shower room where the shower cubicle has a concertina door (please note that the entrance is relatively narrow)so not suited to larger guests) with a hand-held shower, and a wash basin. The toilet is in a separate en-suite with another wash-basin.

Your accommodation is in The Merchant House which is part of the Isaacs Waterside complex, a great place to stay with so many facilities literally on your doorstop and, better still, youâll be entitled to a 20% discount on any food and non-alcoholic drinks during your stay. The entrance to the house is actually through Briarbank Bar so you can stop for a drink on the way through after a busy day! Please check the Isaacs website for opening times.
COMMUNAL KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM
Youâre welcome to use this full equipped large communal kitchen which is fitted with a Kenwood double oven with five rings, a microwave, kettle, a fridge/freezer (two shelf freezer and 3 shelf fridge â remember that this is a communal area if youâre storing things), a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and ironing board. The kitchen will be cleaned regularly but you are expected to leave it as you find it.
DINING ROOM
Also a communal space where youâre welcome to enjoy meals at the dining table, whether take-away or home cooked.

There are pay and display car parks available nearby. Slade street car park is just a one minute walk and Duke street car park 3-minute walk.
