The Orangery - Frampton on Severn
The Orangery takes your breath away, stopping you in your tracks as you walk in from the village green. Resting at the end of a Dutch canal the house is resplendent with ornate windows and finials. Take a moment to soak it all in, this house is yours for a while.
Staying here is unlike any other getaway where you start your day strolling canalside, visiting the local pubs and watching a cricket match. After your Cotswolds day out, make the most of the house and serve a homecooked meal. With a small dining area seating four, the kitchen has an oven and hob and there is a pantry with extra storage space and a wine fridge to keep your fizz fresh. The dining and sitting rooms are set within octagonal towers lending them a unique character which is mirrored in the shape of the dining table. Serve dinners here beside exceptional garden views through the high windows before retiring for drinks beside the fire in the sitting room. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, ideal for parents and their children the adjoining rooms open to the garden and have the benefit of an en-suite. Up the central spiral stairs are the main bedrooms with far-reaching garden vistas and comfortable beds that will be hard to tear yourselves away from in the mornings.
Stepping outside, the gardens at The Orangery are sublime. Stroll alongside the Dutch canal spotting birdlife as you sip you morning coffee, enjoying this quiet moment. A dining table is at the end of the waterway for summer meals and drinks together. Stay here into the evening lighting the firepit which doubles as a BBQ. This picturesque backdrop with The Orangery behind is picture-perfect and you will start traditions, staying here year after year to celebrate milestones.
