Town: A large village within the county of Shropshire, Pontesbury can be found nestled on the norther edge of the Shropshire Hills AONB. Boasting beautiful scenery and walking routes, this area is wonderful for exploring nature, history, and romantic park. With a long mining history once providing a local industry of coal, iron, lead, and stone, it is now an area which provides an array of impressive educational institutions, various delightful eateries and cafes to explore, it's a marvelous base for a family holiday in Shewsbury. For stunning scenery, Earl's Hill is the place to be, with panoramic landscapes and a fabulous range of walking routes, it's well worth the effort for a rewarding view at the end.
