Hawthorn Barn

Hawthorn Barn is a charming three-bedroom barn conversion located near Bideford, Devon, offering a perfect blend of rustic character and modern comforts. Hawthorn Barn provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal retreat for families or groups seeking a countryside getaway.



Upon entering, you're greeted by a three bedrooms: two with double-size beds, one with an en-suite, and a bunk-bed room. The bathroom features a shower over bath, heated towel rack, and toilet. Upstairs, you will find the living, dining and kitchen area adorned with exposed beams and skylights. A cozy fireplace with a wood burner and comfortable seating invite relaxation. There are some low ceilings and exposed beams in the living room so please be aware.



The well-equipped kitchen/diner boasts an electric oven and stovetop, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. A TV and a large dining table, seating 6, make mealtimes enjoyable. Outside, an enclosed garden offers a tranquil space to relax in the sunshine.



This property is located within a small complex of properties, in a quiet corner of the beautiful Hartland Peninsula in North Devon, and enjoys nearby walks on the South West Coast Path, as it makes its way along the clifftops of this stretch of coastline, which is maintained by the National Trust. Just a few miles around the coast, the breath-taking Hartland Quay has an imposing lighthouse, a pebbled beach, and dramatic crashing waves which have claimed many a ship, some of which are remembered in the interesting shipwreck museum which overlooks the beach. The small village of Hartland is situated three miles inland and offers an small selection of shops, three pubs, a coffee shop, bakery and a collection of interesting galleries and craft workshops.



Clovelly is a historic, privately-owned fishing village on the North Devon coast, famous for its steep cobbled street that winds down to a picturesque harbor. Completely car-free, the village preserves its old-world charm with whitewashed cottages, traditional sledges for deliveries, and stunning sea views across Bideford Bay. Rich in maritime history, Clovelly offers attractions like the Donkey Stables, Fisherman's Cottage, and Clovelly Court Gardens, along with craft shops and tearooms. An entrance fee helps maintain this unique, timeless village, which also hosts popular events like the Lobster & Crab Feast and Seaweed Festival.
