The Snug – A Modern Loft Retreat in the Sussex Countryside with Pool & Hot Tub

Welcome to The Snug, a stylish and self-contained loft space for two, nestled within the idyllic Sussex countryside. With a private en-suite bathroom, a cozy lounge and TV area, a small kitchenette, and views across two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, it’s the perfect base for couples or solo travelers seeking a peaceful countryside escape with easy access to Brighton.

Guests are free to explore our gardens year-round—designed so that there is always something in bloom. From the rose garden in summer to grapevines in autumn, the grounds are a tranquil haven in every season. Between May and September, you’ll also have access to the heated outdoor pool, and multiple garden lounge areas provide plenty of space to relax, read, or simply soak up the fresh air.

The Snug is separate from our family home (which also hosts a second B&B space), so you’ll have your own private entrance and complete independence. The gardens, pool, and outdoor seating areas are shared, but most guests find that they often have the space to themselves. You may also meet our friendly old dog Charlie, who loves a gentle hello.

Beyond the property, you’re just a short drive from charming English villages with traditional pubs, cafés, and shops. For breathtaking views, head to nearby Devil’s Dyke, or explore the South Downs National Park right on your doorstep. The vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove is only 20 minutes away, offering everything from beaches and nightlife to boutique shopping in The Lanes.

As your hosts, we’re always nearby should you need us, but equally happy to leave you in peace to enjoy the space.
