POSITIVES - Lovely cottage with a stunning location across the road, River Lossie and Moray Firth.Lovely log fire with more than enough logs.NEGATIVES - Fly infestation on arrival, still a couple I couldn't catch/swat when leaving.H&S issues with area around front and back not being lit. The walk from car parking area at the front is grass/mud with inclines. The exit to the town at the back of the property is a hazard in the dark, I slipped of the edge of the lawn into the flowerbed near a garage due to it being pitch dark.Another safety issue is the fact that the bucket for items needed for the log fire was empty apart from a metal stoking rod. A shovel and small brush to tidy up is needed. No newspaper to rip up to build the fire beneath the logs and only a couple of firelighters. (I had to go into the town to buy my own firelighters.) A lighter is provided but you risk burning your hand using it to ignite the firelighters. Long matches needed.Bed too small for a couple to sleep in comfort, I slept on the sofa.A nice touch would have been a small welcolme pack, but I also had to go and buy milk, would have expected UHT pots at least, also take your own cooking oil, sauces etc, none provided as in most locations I hire for a break.I saw many previous guests let comments on other similar sites where a lot of the negatives I have mentioned are repeated for a while now, host should take these on board as I feel the 'personal' touch is missing at this lovely cottage.
