Dieses einzigartige zweistöckige Strandhaus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 ½ Bädern (Duplex) ist französisch und steht für „Beacon of Light“. Es bietet mehr als 1.700 Quadratmeter komfortablen Wohnraum und eine geräumige, umlaufende Veranda.

Sie finden ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, ein Esszimmer mit Platz für sechs Personen und eine voll ausgestattete Wohnküche mit Frühstückstheke, einen Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine, eine Mikrowelle, einen Geschirrspüler und einen Waschbereich mit Waschmaschine und Trockner in voller Größe. Direkt neben dem Wohnzimmer befindet sich eine große, abgeschirmte Veranda mit zahlreichen Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien und einer herrlichen Aussicht auf die Feuchtgebiete der Natur.

Neben den Hauptwohnbereichen gibt es drei Schlafzimmer. Die Master-Suite verfügt über ein großes Master-Bad mit Gartenwanne, separater verglaster Dusche und Doppelwaschtisch. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Vollbad. Weitere Ausstattungsmerkmale sind eine kleine Badewanne neben dem Wohnbereich, Gewölbedecken, Deckenventilatoren, Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage sowie viele Abstellräume.

The house was great, but...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great. Loved the floor plan, having three eating areas was awesome, the deep bath tub was amazing!!! The location of the house was nice and the golf cart came in handy. BUT the upstairs king bed sloped in the middle (I think it needed more supports/slats for the frame), a slat did fall from one of the twin beds in the other bedroom, and I had to have someone hold the washing machine door up while I unloaded the wash to go into the dryer. These were little things that did not dampen our fun. They are quick “fixes” and I would go back to the same home and still enjoy our stay.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 5 th trip to the Gulf Shore area we decided to try something different because a lot of the high rise condos amenities were closed or under construction from the hurricane! We were not disappointed I loved the gated community and easy access to our side by side unit, the master bedroom bed was really comfy and we enjoyed our coffee in the AM in the screened in porch! We swam in the indoor pool every morning and walked to the beach every morning and or evening! We also enjoyed playing tennis and took the gulf cart to the pool at night! We had a couple small issues but the maintenance guys were fast and efficient and very friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have stayed at Martinique for close to 20 years with family and friends. We stayed at Blaise du Lumiere many years ago and I don’t think it has been updated or improved since then. The stove didn’t work and we had bought food to fix all our meals for the entire week. We had to have someone come and look at the stove and the owners decided to get a new stove instead of fix it for our stay which still put us out. We did get a reimbursement for one night’s stay but that did not solve our problem of ruined food and plans ruined. Also, I know that extra cleaning times are needed for covid but I don’t feel the house was deep cleaned as it should have been even if we weren’t still in a pandemic. We brought friends with us on this trip and had raved about Martinique and it’s calm, serene surroundings and amenities and I just don’t feel this house lived ip to all of our previous experiences at Martinique.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let's start with the positive: the property is in a good location, in a quiet and secluded area of Gulf Shores. However, the house had many issues:1. Air mattress that did not inflate well is considered a sleeping arrangement for 2 people2. TV remotes needed new batteries3. Wifi password is listed incorrectly4. Ice maker did not work - management sent 2 bags of ice 5. Dirty stairs and outdoor furniture6. King bed had bricks underneath7. Front door know came undone and had to be fixed8. Kitchen stool almost broken9. Some of the window blinds did not open or had missing cords10. Dirty grill 11. Outlet in one of the bedrooms does not work 12. Kitchen knives were so old and management sent a replacement I have pictures of everything I have described. This property needs to be fixed up to match what's advertised online.

We absolutely love the location and atmosphere. This unit was the worst of our experiences. The beds were uncomfortable and missing slats. The carpet is in poor condition. The vent in the dining room had what appeared to be mold around it. There was a terrible odor coming the kitchen sink. Also, the mirror in the dining room was broken and glued together. The staff and maintenance were wonderful and addressed our concerns to the best of their abilities. For the price we paid (not cheap), we were very disappointed in the condition of the unit. We will stay at the Martinique again, but would not rent this unit again.

Has Great Potential

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was really dirty. The cabinets and chair backs were sticky and needed a thorough wiping. The trim was dusty and filled with cobwebs. There was broken glass on the counter in the upstairs bathroom that no one ever cleaned up. The curtains had dead bugs on them. The ice maker was just gross. You could see the accumulated dirt from people's hands reaching for ice. A really thorough cleaning, and this would be a great rental, but it was not in good condition. And no, I didn't want to open the place up to strangers to clean while we were there because of covid. The front desk workers and maintenance people also did not wear masks. The resort itself is nice, but this unit needs someone to do a deep clean, wash the curtains, haul away the broken grill and start fresh.

Great house & location!

Overall a great experience! The house was perfect size for our size and the location was amazing as well as the amenities. The only things that could have been better was the cleaning when we arrived there were a few things missed & the ice machine though a nice added touch did not work. However we enjoyed our experience and will be back.

Best stay yet in Gulf Shores

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like to go to Gulf Shores because of the short drive. It's only about a 4 hr drive. We took the ferry and we were to the room 10 min off the ferry ride. Pretty amazing! This year we stayed at Martinique. The place Balise Du Lumiere was perfect for me and my family. Nice walking path to that I enjoyed with my grand baby and husband. When I tell you convenient. I mean it! The place comes cart, that allowed you to pack up and head to the beach! Which we did every day. Two pools we barley used cause we loved the beach. I highly recommend. We will be back. We were 100 satisfied! I forgot to mention it's only about 15 minutes away from heart of the action but for enough away for the escape that I was looking for.

A Great Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Balise du Lumiere. It was well stocked and clean with some updated furniture. We have stayed here for years and have been very pleased. Martinique also quickly responded to our request for more hand towels. The cleaning crew only put one pillow on the master bed, but this was quite minor. Found clean pillow case and pillow and added it ourselves.

Good friends for card games, water aerobics, book club and parties. Enjoyed the quiet times too in our relaxing rental unit.
