The Country Club has an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and gym which can be used by guests at Bittern Lodge from the spring bank holiday until the end of September.

Guests can enjoy free access to a games room at the resort and restaurant/pub serving good food, open all year. The resort is built into the hillside with steps and slopes, so less suitable for the persons with mobility impairments.

The charming seaside town of Cromer is 1 mile away, and can be reached via an excellent cliff-top walk or the wide sandy beach at low tide, with a choice of steps or sloped paths leading down to the shore. Cromer offers plenty for all ages, with its promenade, iconic pier and end-of-pier shows, numerous cafes and eateries, arcades, a cinema, pubs, take-away restaurants, and a wide range of independent and high street stores.

Two excellent museums, an impressive historic church boasting the tallest tower in Norfolk which can be climbed at certain times of the year, a small children’s fairground and Amazona Zoo. There are plenty of benches to stop at and take in the views, enjoy an ice cream, fish and chips, or perhaps some famous Cromer crab.
