We spent January/February 2016 at this home and found everything very accommodating. Most enjoyable were our walks to the beach (less than a mile) on a daily basis and sitting out by the pool. Fishing from the dock was the next best thing for Wayne and Betty. So much fun we have reserved again for 2017. Tks, Brinks for being great owners and very accessible when any problems occurred. We stayed in this home for 8 nights and it was a truly wonderful find. It was everything we were looking for and more! Besides being large, clean and wonderfully furnished, the owners were great and very friendly to rent from. Very attentive and responsive. The location is great and you can't ask for more with the private beach access (where we were the only people there!). Believe me when I say that the pictures don't do this house justice. We can't wait to return next year! Thank you!!
We recently returned from our stay in this home and would like to compliment the owners and caretaker on providing us a nice home for our winter retreat from the north east.
Keeping in mind that this property is used by multiple clients, we found everything to be in very good condition. Bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. There were ample towels and bedding (we travel with our own, but found we really didn't need too). Kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans, glasses and cups were in good condition, clean and plentiful.
House is tiled throughout the major living areas providing for a very cleanable and odor free residence. As mentioned in previous comments, large enclosed pool area is scenic and a nice fresh air oasis. Also spent most of out time there.
We were fortunate to have friends arrive with a boat for a few days. Mooring and Gulf access were convenient and safe. Public launches available in nearby Anclote River and Port Richie. Having a private beach in walking distance also a huge plus.
We like this area because it is sort of away from the beaten, commercial path. It is residential in nature and has a relaxed, safe feel. Other properties we rented and considered did not measure up in that regard. Still, shopping and restaurants are plentiful and nearby. Additionally, there are many interesting attractions within a reasonable drive. Having a car definitely required.

A really lovely villa that had everything we needed for a holiday and family reunion. The rear pool and patio face west, giving gorgeous sunset views and overlooking a tidal canal junction with lots of water birds and, we were told, occasional dolphin and manatee visits. There is a private beach 15 mins walk or 5 mins drive away, perfect soft sand and even better sunsets. However, the owners do not live locally and it is evident that they don't visit often. Some of the furniture and outside chairs are slightly shabby, the house was superficially clean but kitchen cupboards, drawers and worktops needed a wipe down. Many of the pots and cutlery were grubby too apart from the top few, and 2 cups were broken. There was also a broken toilet seat. The previous tenants had been a group of boys apparently. We also found glass splinters and old fishing line by the pool, all of which must have been difficult for a cleaner to spot. We had problems with light bulbs as quite a few were blown or missing. We replaced some before we realised the numbers needed. There was some ceiling damage on the outside pool deck that the owner rang to apologise for and had lined up someone to fix while we were there. Our first contact with the owner after booking the villa was to ask what kind of internet connection they had as the villa description had said 'dial up'. The answer was that they hadn't realised it was in the description, and there was no internet installed. They said that they would have it in place before we arrived, and it was! We had a superb high speed Wi-Fi connection. This was typical of the very responsive owners. A handyman was sent round to replace some light bulbs, and the toilet seat and kitchen cooker light bulb were replaced before we left. Unfortunately, the ceiling damage proved to be a roof/solar panel problem and would need much more work. The solar panel, used to warm up the pool, was fixed sufficiently to be used while we were in the villa, but we only managed to get in the pool for the last few days (it had been an unusually cool Winter); and we didn't see a pool cleaner in the 4 weeks we were there, despite the owners having a weekly cleaning contract in place. The owners gave us a restaurant meal gift card to apologise for the problems we had. It was a kind gesture much appreciated. Would we return? Perhaps, if the roof and solar heating problems are resolved. It really is a lovely villa with lots of vacation potential.
The pictures & description do not do this house justice. It was perfect. Large rooms- nicely decorated & stocked with everything we needed, from good pots & pans to Ziploc baggies & spices. Nice neighborhood. Great water view. The screened lanai was great- we spent most of our time there. Did I mention.... the house was SPOTLESS!
We loved this house & plan to rent it again :-)
