Bear Meade ist eine ausgezeichnete Kabine mit zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Badezimmern. Es befindet sich in einer Blockhausgemeinschaft in Townsend, TN. Nur wenige Minuten vom Herzen von Townsend entfernt ist diese Hütte ein wunderbarer Ort, um während Ihres Urlaubs in den Smoky Mountains zu Hause zu sein.
 
Die Unterkünfte sind mit zwei Kingsize-Betten und einem Schlafsofa ausgestattet.

Loved our stay!

We were in Townsend for the Bronco Festival. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was really decorated nice. We will visit again soon.

Great Location

The listing is an excellent description, the cabin is tucked away in a community of cabins very convenient to Townsend(3 mins) and the park (5 mins). The cabin was very clean and has a private and large front porch. We see ourselves staying here again.

Beautiful Clean and Comfy

We really enjoyed our visit to the Smoky Mountains and Bear Meade. The cabin has TWO gas fireplaces!! The furniture was really nice and the cabin was exceptionally clean. We cant wait to plan our next trip in the spring.

My Dream Vacation

Staying in a log cabin in the woods was a dream of mine. The atmosphere was what i hope it would be. This was a home i would like to own one day. Everything was perfect. I would recommend this home to everyone.

Cabin in the woods at Christmas

Decorated for Christmas made it feel cozy. Liked two bathrooms for each of us to get ready and spread our things out for ease of use. Loved the two fireplaces. The couch needs to be replaced because of no comfort watching TV. The cabin and everything else was very nice. We did not use the hot tub.

Nice cabin !

One family 2 adults and two kids, we had a great time. Cabin was clean and comfortable. We were not able to make upstairs big TV work, appeared to be some problem with cable service, but the downstairs TV worked fine. In regards to previous comments about driveway: it is not very steep and there is enough parking space for a couple of SUVs.

Perfect!

The Bear Meade Cabin was absolutely perfect! The cabin was very clean and well cared for. The decor was very "cabin in the woods". The upstairs family room had big comfy chairs for reading or TV watching. We absolutely loved the hot tub. It is set back in the woods and the driveway is VERY steep but the setting is beautiful and worth the steep drive. It is located in Townsend so it took 40-45 minutes to get to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but the drive through the park was stunning so we didn't mind it.

Nice cabin - very responsive property manager

We made our reservations at this location because there was a hot tub and it was in the general area where we were visiting. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken when we arrived. The property manager quickly offered two other properties where we could move that also had hot tubs. The responsiveness of the property manager was excellent. While we did not sleep in this location, it was very clean when we arrived. The cabin is nicely configured with everything you could need. I would recommend.

Had a wonderful time!

I could stay in a pig sty and be happy but my wife is a bit more discerning than I. She was very impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin and also with kitchen. She had everything she needed to do her magic in the magic. Even I noticed we had "real" plates and "real" silverware, not just the cheap stuff you find in so many rental places. The chairs in the downstairs living area were also very comfortable; I noticed that immediately as I have a bad back yet I was very comfortable. The only area of improvement I can really think of is if the TV had been in the living area instead of the bedroom so you could sit and watch. Yes, we could have gone upstairs and sat and watched the TV up there, but the sitting up there wasn't as comfortable as downstairs. All in all, we had a great time and really appreciated the beauty of the area.

Wonderful cabin

We loved our stay at a Bear Meade cabin. There were four of us - my husband and I in the downstairs room and our twin 5 year old in the upstairs room. Plenty of space for us. Nice kitchen with a variety of dishes/pots/utensils/etc. so we could cook some of our meals. Good size table for meals and games. Also an outside table in the porch for picnics. The girls loved the porch swing, having their own living room upstairs, the stuffed bears, and the hot tub for warming up after cold swims. My husband and I loved the quiet (close to neighbors but in the woods so you feel a nice sense of seclusion), the door in our bedroom out to the porch/hot tub, the overall setup etc. We only had one problem while we were there - a leak from the upstairs bathtub into the downstairs bathroom, but management came out and fixed it the next day. Very timely and helpful. Overall, we loved it, and we would definitely come again! Be aware that the driveway is fairly steep, but our van was able to manage it just fine.

Very disappointed!

Cabin needs attention. Pictures used for the website must be very old. The cabin needs more through cleaning. Large roach bugs in cabin. Roach bug crawled across my foot during shower. Another roach bug in vanity sink after shower. A spider was crawling across the bath towel. Lots of mildew on outside porch furniture. Shot bulbs in several light fixtures. No window covering on front door half window. We have been coming to the Smokies for over 30 years and this is the worst lodging experience that we have ever had. We will not return to this cabin. It is listed as a resort. This is no resort!

We take reviews & preparation of our cabins very seriously so we are always very disappointed when a guest leaves such a scathing review without having ever spoken to us. We did not hear from this guest during their stay. This cabin is in a small log cabin resort. It is not a luxurious resort but it is well taken care of with a really nice swimming pool and pavilion for our guests to use. The cabin is treated monthly for pests but being in the woods does lead to some guests running in to little visitors. If a guests reports a problem to us, we can always get an extra treatment. The cabin is VERY clean. We will check the outdoor furniture but it would surprise me if we missed "lots of mildew". If it is there, we will be sure to clean it or replace cushions if necessary. If we had been given a chance, we would have rectified any complaints that they had. Unfortunately, they didn't leave the cabin very nicely either.
