Beautiful home with beautiful views

My husband and I traveled to Curacao for a snorkeling vacation. We are very pleased with our decision to rent Villa Brisa.The hosts are welcoming and easy to communicate with.The Villa is very clean and comfortable and very quiet, creating a serene atmosphere.Restaurants and beaches are close by and easy to access.If we return to Curacao for another vacation we hope to rent Villa Brisa again.

Great Property and Location

The stay was great! We loved everything but not being to get in the ocean from the property. The stairs were up due to a few days of rough waves before we got there. The stairs were never put back in the water because it is a process to do that, but the owner did help us find another place close by which was much appreciated. Since this is an VRBO rental, I think getting the stairs back in quickly should have been planned since this is advertised.

The pool was lovely. Only appliance that is tricky to work is the cooktop. Had a chef come and cook us a meal one night and even she had trouble using it. There is an electric meter that records your usage and depending on how many people are staying there, you are allotted a certain amount for your stay. First 2 days we only used A/C in bedrooms at night and opened the door and windows to allow a breeze. But little gnats come and head right for your face and other small crawling insects came in window. There is a gecko living in the main room but he is shy. Once we closed the house all the insects were shut out and we only turned off living room A/C when we left or at night when we were in bedrooms. We were under our electric allowance so we wish we had done that the first 2 days. Westpunt has many beautiful beaches and good restaurants. We went to Willemstad only twice and were very glad we had this lovely quiet villa instead of a crowded hotel. Many previous occupants left advice in the guest book so be sure to read it. Also the owners were extremely kind and answered our questions very quickly. They too offered advice for things to do with a 2 year old. They have pool noodles and a splash ball that were wonderful. Also some fins and masks although we brought our own. There are minimarts not too far away for a few items like milk and bread. But our one grocery shopping trip really lasted all week. You will find Villa Brisa a wonderful vacation home. We enjoyed it!

Fantastic Ocean Front Gem!!!

Summary: WOW – Villa, Views, Grounds, Location, Hosts/Managers are fantastic! If Villa Brisa is available for your dates, book it quickly. If you have some flexibility in your dates and can work a week or two when it is available, you will have a great stay. Details: Villa; Pictures are what you get, beautiful and functional. Master bedroom/spa bath upstairs. AC works well – we had no issue staying within the included electric allowance. WiFi great. Views; Cliff overlooking the ocean, sunsets, coastline and hills. Dawn, sunsets, evenings and stars are incredible. Grounds; Lots of sitting areas, pool, charcoal barbeque, big rinse sink with rack, “sunset” bench, butterflies, dragonflies, birds and privacy. Sturdy stairs go down to the ocean, but the ladder for access into the ocean was not installed the week we were there due to the waves/strong current -did enjoy sitting on the stairs looking at the ocean. Location: Kalki Beach is a 10-minute walk or few minutes drive– great snorkeling – Go West Diving is there. Good restaurants for lunch or dinner – reservations needed for Isabelle Off the Beach and Sol Food. Great beaches nearby – Grote Knip and Klien Knip were nice - DaaiBooi was our fav, 25 min. Hosts/Managers; Maarten and Michele are great - very informative and responsive before and during our visit. They have created a wonderful retreat with Villa Brisa and want you to enjoy it. The managers had the place in great shape and very clean. Loved our stay!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Villa Brisa! Maarten and Michele were exceptional hosts—always helpful and generous with insider tips on island life. They truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.The house itself is absolutely beautiful, with a well-appointed kitchen and spacious seating areas that were perfect for our family of six. The view from the back patio is breathtaking, and our kids spent countless happy hours in the pool.For those feeling a bit adventurous, the reef just off the stairs to the ocean was the best we saw anywhere on the island. We spotted turtles, octopuses, moray eels, and even explored a small shipwreck near the buoy north of the ladder. The north and east sides of the island are stunning, and the trail through the mountains to the east—starting near the house—is definitely worth exploring.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to return next year!

Amazing stay, loved the owners, great communication!!! Made the entire stay super easy, and enjoyable. Pool was a great amenity, privacy is incredible, and the access to the ocean is a huge plus (great for SCUBA)! You’ll have some furry friends (cats) around the property, cute and harmless.
