Massive 4 bed with countryside views in Peterborough

Situated at the end of a country lane, The Lodge is nestled away behind its own electric gates offering the safety and security of off road parking.

The property itself is a gigantic 4 bedroomed home over a vast footprint, with 1 bedroom on the ground floor and the other 3 accessed via an iron spiral staircase, on the first floor.

The ground floor bedroom is serviced by a communal shower room and is one of our 'suite rooms' which has additional space for seating and your very own TV.

Upstairs the bedrooms have traditional beams which really do echo the countryside feel with the bedroom at the end of the hall having not only 'suite' facilities but it's own ensuite showeroom.

The other 2 bedrooms are serviced by the family bathroom featuring a bath and a shower attachment, so no queuing for a bathroom in the morning! The sprawling living space includes a massive lounge, dining area but the real beauty of the house is the large country kitchen with a Belfast sink AND range cooker!
Just off the living room there is a large dining room for entertaining friends and family. The dining room consists of a comfortable table, large enough for all guests to come together at the end of the day in an airy and open space. We strive to provide a pleasant atmosphere and comfortable setting for you to socialise, so the lounge area has a range of relaxing seats for guests to enjoy and spread out, giving everyone enough space so that you don't have to be on top of each other (if you don't want to be).

The Lodge really is a great space for the whole family (or work family) to enjoy, with fantastic views across the Cambridgeshire Countryside to help you relax and unwind at the end of a long day but only a short distance from the lively hub of Peterborough. The Lodge really is a hidden gem, you don't even need to leave the village with so many top rated take aways within walking distance and some fantastic restaurants and pubs, you can't fail to fall in love with the place!

What a fantastic home! It was perfect for our family of all ages. We had loads of space for everyone. The lounge is a great size and my favourite room was the kitchen. We will definitely come again

This property was lovely, it was spacious and clean fitted the 5 of us very well for 2 nights for a family wedding. Good for parking too. Would stay again if we’re in the area. Host kept us informed and details were good.

Family holiday

The owner did not give us details of access until after 12 noon on the day of the holiday. we were all coming from different areas. He came to see us that night and told my son to close the only window in his room, as it was broken. Luckily it was not too hot a weekend or he would have roasted. There was no outside seating in the garden area and my sister who is disabled would have liked to sit in the garden a while. Generally the property was not disabled access friendly with only steps at all the doors. We found a door on the ground floor completely unlocked and just managed to bolt it at the top for security. There were other small things that seemed badly put together and the oven only half worked. This COULD be an excellent property but needs some attention to details.

We do not give out the details for access until we have been told by the cleaners that the property is clean and ready to go. As access to the property isn't until after 3pm we feel that a 3 hours window is sufficient for notice but we do try to work with our guests as much as we can and the codes are texted to guests as well as sent on the platform. The window in that room is safety issue as can fall in when open and was awaiting repair, this is why a fan was provided to that room so that your son wasn't uncomfortable, with the warmer weather we have been having. I understand outside furniture is a great idea, but we do struggle with breakages and damage so we do not provide those, it is NOT mentioned on the listing that there is furniture, so we hope you weren't too disappointed. I am afraid we are not disabled access friendly, we do have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom which is good for people with mobility issues, but clearly not for fully disabled access, so again sorry if you thought that it was. I will check the listing but I did not think it stated we were fully disabled friendly.
