Love the caribe but this unit needs a refresh!
We have stayed at the Caribe 5 times over the years and this time we loved the price on this penthouse that showed up online, so we booked it Through the sunset property management to get the top floor experience at such a steal of a price. We have always used the Caribe reservation desk for our stays. The check in was much easier with Sunset and we appreciated that.
UnitC PH14 needs a total refresh top to bottom. Broken lamps, beds are lumpy and living room furniture is pretty worn out. Patio furniture leaves a lot to be desired with worn cushions that don’t even fit the seats. The towels are not much and reminded us of what would be provided in a lower end motel. They also had very few of them in each bathroom which was a huge irritation. We expect to do laundry but not that quickly.
The kitchen needs a total restock. The nonstick pan flaked off in our breakfast. That’s a no go! We threw our food out and went out. The utensils and such were very sparse and at the end of their life.
The plumbing needs serious attention. The toilets took a lot to flush and sinks were very slow to drain in the master bathroom.
For a penthouse it was the least nicest condo we have ever rented at the Caribe. I do own rental property and have it managed and I would be mortified to have it managed this way. It’s way too nice of a place and a prime location at the Caribe to be so lack luster. We enjoyed our views and the amenities of the resort but we won’t book this unit again.
