For those travelling with horses, stabling and grazing are available through prior arrangement with the owner located near Carmarthen, this cottage serves as an ideal base to explore the region. You can wander through the historic streets of Carmarthen, visit the ancient ruins of Carmarthen Castle, or explore the local shops and cafes. The 5800 hectares of Brechfa Forest on the doorstep, offer expeditions plenty: Way-marked routes take walkers from thick conifer plantations, over gushing streams to vast open vistas and the residues of ancient woodland.
The mountain bike trails offer adventure for all abilities; The Derwen Trail provides a great introduction to the sport for families and novices, while the black-graded, Raven Trail will put even the most experienced to the test.
