Nearby attractions include Urquhart Castle and Fort Augustus. If you’re looking to spot the Loch Ness Monster there are multiple boat tour options to explore. If you’d like an active holiday, you could start with the local hill, Meall Fuar-Mhonaidh. The base car park is just 4 miles away, and the hill offers a good path which is dog friendly. Not far away, Abriachan Forest Trails offer walking and mountain-biking galore. If you’re seeking something more extreme, most mountains are easily accessed on a day trip. Bear in mind the Scottish weather and be sure to plan ahead for safety.
