Had an amazing weekend. The house awesome with a sweet fire pit ! The sauna was cooking and the lake was cold, couldn’t ask for a better combo!!!Belly’s restaurant 5 minutes away is a must as well

Our family had an excellent stay at Sandy lake cottage. The grandkids loved the trampoline, hot tub, air hockey, foosball and the beach toys provided. The shallow, clean beach & park across the street was perfect for our family and it was joy to see so many smiling and laughing kids. The cottage had a good layout and was clean. The back deck and yard made it feel like we were in the middle of the woods and was mostly shaded or dappled shade.Groceries, LCBO, very good pizza and some very good sweet corn are just minutes away

The house was not well cleaned before we got there. A better vacuuming job between stays is required. The majority of the beds are also very uncomfortable (apart from the king size which was comfy), and should look at being replaced. Otherwise the property is great as always. This is our 3rd summer coming here and we will return again. The new fire pit was a nice surprise!

We spent a sunny weekend together as an yearly expanded family gathering to enjoy the fall colors although too early for that. We appreciate the clear instructions sent to us before arrival except that the garbage sorting was confusing but it has more to do with dealing with local rules. The district should do a better job in either educating outsiders or make things easier for them. It was acceptably clean although I found myself wanting to do a better cleaning of the bench and tables. We really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna plus the trampoline. The fools ball and air hockey tables were in good shape although we were too tired for that after a whole day outside. The water of the Sandy Lake was crystal clear. Unfortunately, it felts a bit dangerous crossing the road to the beach so only part of the group could enjoy that. We also visited the Adam and Eve Rocks which was great. Overall, we were very happy about our stay.

This is the second time my friends and I stayed at the cottage, and we absolutely loved it. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Can't recommend it enough!

We didn't use the hot tub. Sauna was great! Kitchen was well stocked, loved the master bedroom! Kids were overwhelmed with toys in basement! Nice bathrooms. Very spacious house.lots of blankets to snuggle up with on the amazing couch! Only thing missing was a small stool for little ones to reach sink to brush teeth.Very enjoyable experience so close to the water!Thank you for everything!!!!

Highly recommend

We (6 adults with children) had a wonderful stay at the cottage – thank you for the cozy atmosphere! The location is absolutely perfect, with a clean and warm lake steps away. We enjoyed using the host’s canoe, relaxed in the hot tub, and grilled delicious kebabs by the fire pit. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! Having the lake just across the street was such a bonus. The kids were hoping to swim, but it was a bit too cold this time. We still had a great time with the kayaking, jacuzzi, and all the games—especially the table games. I also appreciated how well-equipped the place was, down to the smallest details in the kitchen, even a garlic grinder!

Wonderful space and amenities

We held a work retreat at this location and it was incredible! Chirs was very helpful and communicative, and our check-in and check-out process was great! We enjoyed the cottage, the location right across from the beach, and the use of the sauna, hot tub and canoe and kayaks! Don't forget the firepit and the beautiful backyard. The front yard is also gorgeous and calming! We loved it! We would love ot return for our annual retreat next year, and highly recommend this place!

A wonderful experience

The property was very well looked after. The host added little thoughtful items like a basket of goodies on the kitchen table with cold drinks, cookies and snacks and miniature bottles of shampoo and soap in the toilets that made us feel welcome and cared for.

Very comfortable cottage with great amenities & very close to the lake & small public beach with picnic tables. Beach is suitable for young children, with shallow water & sandy bottom. Only negatives were that the road between the cottage & lake can be quite busy, also the chemicals in the hot tub were very strong when we first used it. I would suggest leaving the lid open for about 10 minutes before getting in & operating the jets.

Great getaway

We have rented this cottage for 3 years now and it never disappoints our family of 12, from ages 1-63. The kids love the trampoline and how close the beach is to the property. The water is clear and shallow for several meters so we are not afraid the kids will get to any drop off areas. There are little towns with parks, boats, restaurants close by. A free zoo 30 minutes away. The hot tub and sauna are always in great condition. The owners recently changed, but the new owners are very welcoming and set out some baskets in the cottage with some essentials and treats. Overall, this cottage is a great place to stay.

Our week at cottage will be fondly remembered by all nine of us. 6 adults and 2 tweens and 1 teen. Loads of room. Comfy furniture and good beds. Well appointed Kitchen. Lots of lovely outdoor space. Hot tub was fun. Did not use Sauna. One disadvantage was there was no safe place to take dogs for an exercise walk unless drove a bit. The road in front super busy and speed limit not adhered to. Lovely beach area , fun to be directly across from it. Thank you Chris.
