To clarify, I did not cancel any part of your original booking. After your reservation was confirmed, you requested an additional night. I advised that this should be possible, but before the extension could be processed another guest booked those dates. As a result, I was unable to extend your stay. Your original reservation remained unchanged throughout. The apartment was professionally cleaned and thoroughly checked before your arrival. When you reported an issue with the duvet, it was replaced immediately. Unfortunately, the apartment was not left in a similar condition on departure. A kettle had been damaged, broken glass was placed at the back of a cupboard rather than reported, unwashed dishes were returned to cupboards, food was left on worktops and around the fridge, and the rubbish bin was overflowing. Photographs were taken and supplied to VRBO. The apartment is not located directly on a main road. Between the property and the road are bungalows, a swimming pool and a restaurant. Any nearby construction activity is beyond my control. I am pleased you enjoyed the views and facilities, but it is important that future guests have an accurate account of the circumstances.
