Gite Verger is a traditional Burgundian house situated at the end of a lane on the edge of a rural village and is a ten minute walk from the centre which has two bar restaurants a superette and a tourist office. The very large garden includes parking for several cars. There are various seating areas with a BBQ provided, an orchard and meadow. The lounge diner is a 40m2 room with 2 large sofas and a wall mounted TV with English and French channels. The dining area seats 8 and looks out over the pleasant front garden.The study is well stocked with English dvd's and cd's with a view of the orchard there are board games available. There is a log burning inset fire. Adjacent to the lounge is a well equipped kitchen diner with 5 ring hob double oven electric range cooker. Also on the ground floor there is a shower room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a separate wc. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with views over the front garden and pool area; a bunkbed room with views over the orchard, a further single bedroom and a second shower room with w.c. Fans are provided in all bedrooms. Externally there is a front patio with covered pergola and a large table with ample seating. The above ground swimming pool is 7.5m x 3.6m x 1.2m deep which is checked and maintained during your stay by our local agent whose contact details you will receive on arrival. Overlooking the pool there is more seating with table, chairs and sun loungers. In the orchard there is another large table and chairs with views of the meadow. There are swings for young children, badminton and boule equipment provided. The house offers easy access to the tourist sites of Chantier medieval de Guedelon, Chateau St Fargeau, Maison Natale de Collette in Saint-Sauveur and is a short walk to Chateau de Ratilly. There are many restaurants and weekly markets in the area to sample famous Burgundian dishes. Gite Verger is in an ideal location for walking, wine tasting at world renowned vineyards including Chablis and Sancerre, bird watching as well as the many activities for children including the adventure Parc du Bois de la Folie and Lac du Bourdon for picnicking, swimming, pedalos and canoeing. The Chateau at St Fargeau stages a fantastic spectacular weekly in summer. The Unesco World Heritage site of Vezelay and it's Basilica is less than one hours drive away and is not to be missed. The home has free wifi (adsl). Changeover day for this property is usually Sunday.
