La Villa von The Riverwalk ist ein historisches Sears & Roebuck Company Haus, das in den 1950er Jahren gebaut wurde. Diese wunderschöne Villa wurde zu ihrem ursprünglichen Zustand mit Antiquitäten der gleichen Ära renoviert. Es waren nur 70.000 Sears & Roebuck Häuser, die in Nordamerika gebaut wurden.

Die Villa Front Office und Geschenk-Shop bietet kalte Erfrischungen wie Limonaden, Fruchtsäfte, frische Blumenarrangements, Geschenke, Jazz Erinnerungsstücke, Texas Souvenirs und Vintage Antiquitäten aus den Vereinigten Staaten, dem Vereinigten Königreich und Portugal. Mother/Daughter Getaway

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The atmosphere and privacy were so relaxing!! We like to stay at "non-typical" types of lodging when we are just being tourists! This place has a unique charm with alot of iconic history that we really appreciated! The host was super great, and it was easy and affordable to Uber everywhere we wanted to go!

Very nice stay.

Had a wonderful time at a comfortable quaint home with a very agreeable host. Great place for two persons. Anthony the host was super helpful. The home itself was very conveniently situated near the Pearl and riverwalk. Highly recommend.

Amazing property with an exceptional host.

This place is a 4 minute walk to the river walk and plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and sights. Yet you are in a quiet place once back. Great off street parking for 2 cars in a safe area. Anthony the host is simply amazing, going far beyond what any host has ever done. We made a new friend that we will definitely return to see. Anthony toured us around showing us some amazing thing's we wouldn't have even know about. The house is wonderful and equipped with everything you could need. If not there is an extensive list of things Anthony will can provide for you. See photos. The garden is very cool and relaxed with a great sound system and night lights. Hot tub was so much fun and so conveniently placed right up by the kitchen door. The bedroom was amazing for me as its completely dark when you sleep. With the bathroom right off of it. Truly amazing stay and fantastic host. Cant wait to go back.

Did not meet expectations

This apartment did not meet our expectations. In all aspects, the apartment was very cluttered. There was very little room to place our luggage and the 3 sides of the bed were against a wall. Though it was hard to share because of the walls, the bed was rather comfortable. There was a lot of dust on the clutter, blinds, and drinking glasses. There was no central heat so even with the use of the small space heaters provided, the bathroom was very cold. The host told us he would heat the hot tub at night. The hot tub was only warm one of the two nights we requested. The page also advertised a bottle of wine and two teas or k-cups. There was only one k cup available and we didn’t see a bottle of wine for us. Although road construction was listed on the page, the renovation of the neighborhood made walking downtown uncomfortable. Taking Uber downtown, though unexpected, was very affordable. The backyard and patio area are very nice and would be a lovely place to entertain, even featuring a small stage and a hot tub. Overall, not what we expected.

Most our reviews are good. These girls wanted to keep their luggage after check-out time. I agreed as long as they left their luggage at the office so the rooms can be prepared for next guest. However left their luggage at Villa anyway and took off w/ keys after checkout. I called and asked to return keys & they said they already left. They claim that I told them they could leave luggage at villa. I informed them a third time they could NOT leave their luggage at villa. Tried to explained house keeper needed the keys to enter and prepare rooms so one girl got angry throwing a fit and yelling at me saying that I agreed to allow them to leave luggage at villa & claimed that they now had to paid extra money to return. Look @ her review? Claims rides affordable but complains she lost lots of money returning. Resent her proof of VRBO messages and VRBO agreed that they were in the wrong . "However, if there is a late check-out on the 3rd you may leave luggage at the gift shop/office until your flight time so that they will not conflict with another stay. They will be safe there. You can reach me at my number if you have any other concerns or questions now or while you are here." After still being being talked down to I STILL allowed these kids to leave luggage at my place. I inspected the villa, and these kids left a mess and the couch was ripped. After talking w/ the neighbors the informed me they saw 3 girls, not 2 as they agreed by their VRBO contract. Called VRBO & told them & they agreed I did not have to take care of their luggage and agreed I was performing a courtesy which I shouldn't have done. Informed VRBO going to call & ask them to pick up items. These brats refused to come back & pick up luggage so now I was babysitting their luggage. They arrived, I handed their luggage & girl angrily yanked them out of my hands like a spoiled impudent kids throwing a temper tantrum & headed towards Uber. One girl got her luggage and did apologize saying she had a fantastic time and loved the place & enjoyed the spa & was sorry for the misunderstanding & said she would try to do the VRBO review & would give villa great review because she knew her friend was mad at me for not leaving her luggage. Did not trust these kids so I called & informed VRBO & filed a claim against these for the damages. They became more upset giving the review you see. VRBO knowledged all this & has proof of messages sent to these kids and they refused to provide proof of age for liquor.

Comfortable and Cozy

My husband and I enjoyed the location of the property very much. The place was in a great spot central to many sites and restaurants. We walked from the place to The Pearl several times. We also walked along the Riverwalk all the way from downtown (by the Alamo) back to the property. It was a long leisurely stroll with beautiful scenery all around, which made the walk very enjoyable. Using Uber helped us get around to other locations that were too far to walk. The road (Euclid) is currently under construction so we heard the trucks moving dirt early in the morning and could feel the ground moving from them, too (the next door neighbor's dog didn't seem to like the noise either). We opted to walk down the street to get picked up by Uber drivers due to the construction. Food delivery was tricky, too. Anthony was helpful and he gave us our privacy. We had a slight issue heating up the hot tub on our last night there but eventually got that resolved. Not having a shower took some getting used to, but after 5 days we got the hang of taking baths. We enjoyed having access to Netflix and the large TV's. Although we didn't cook at the place, it was nice having a full-sized fridge and access to a stove/oven if needed. There were plenty of linens and towels and two window A/C units that kept the place at a very comfortable temperature. We will definitely be back to San Antonio!

PROPERTY WAS WELL MAINTAINED AND ATTRACTIVE.MR. TOBIAS WAS EXTREMELY CONSIDERATE AND HELPFUL

UNFORTUNATELY, OUR VISIT WAS CUT SHORT DUE TO THE CONSTUCTION ON THE STREETS AROUND THE PROPERTY THAT MADE ACCESS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. IN ADDITION THE WEATHER WAS VERY WET WHICH COMPOUNDED THE ROADWAY PROBLEMS. MY WIFE AND I ARE IN OUR MID SEVENTIES AND I THINK THIS PROPERTY IS MORE SUITED FOR YOUINGER RENTERS.MR. TOBIAS COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER AND DEALT WITH THE SITUATION PROFESSIONALLY AND WITH GREAT UNDERSTANDING.

Good location, lots of hospitality, charming atmosphere

Small place with a big feel. Fully equipped kitchen. Complimentary bottle of wine (when booking at least two nights). Cozy garden area (with outdoor spa/hot tub)). Comfortable bed. Lots of interesting antiques and music posters. Great location--close to Riverwalk and Pearl Brewery--you'll want to visit both. Anthony will make sure you have everything you need!

Quiet and relaxing get away close to the Pearl

My husband and I traveled to San Antonio to celebrate our anniversary. Anthony cheerfully greeted us at his Villa and showed us around the property. The Villa is ornately decorated with a spacious back yard and a lovely deck to relax on. The spa was a nice bonus, very clean and comforting after walking the Riverwalk. Anthony checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, even offering to bring us Ice Cream. We would definitely recommend the location as it is very close to the Pearl district.

It was really great meeting Keri and her husband. They are a fantastic and extremely nice couple. I got to mingle with them a bit and learn about them and their hometown. Keri actually left the place cleaner than we had it before they arrived, LOL. I was busy in the office as usual and they were kind enough to offer to pick up a cheese hamburger and some great hot tater-tots from Armadillo Hamburgers, a San Antonio local favorite hot-spot around the corner from our Villa.It was greet meeting both of them and I am very glad they were able to spend their 10th Anniversary with us. Wishing them another great 10 years plus some. Anthony

I was born, bread and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My background was originally in the medical profession as a medical laboratory technician working for one of the largest medical firms in the United States for just under 10 years.
I later went on to open Anthony's Floral Designs & Gifts and three years later I opened and taught at Anthony's School of Floral Designs of Texas at San Antonio. I own the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival L.L.C. and in 2015 I was hired as the Managing Director to coordinate and operate the Leon Valley Fall Art & Jazz Festival for the City of Leon Valley. At the age 24 I was a published author of the book Floral Designs, The Art of Designing with Flowers.
Today I have my own column in StreetTalk Magazine under The SA Jazz Scene and I manage and oversee a great nonprofit that gives back to so many and so proud to be able to do so. In my life I have won many awards in the arts, in business and for community service to San Antonio. I feel that God has blessed me in so many ways and it is through him that I have been able to accomplish so much in life and able give back to others in return.
