We started Switchback Stays back in 2019. We are regular travellers ourselves and are often on the lookout to find great places to stay whilst we are away for work or leisure trips.

This is a great base for a Cardiff stay. Good transport links to the city centre or out to the M4.
It's a traditional, quiet Cardiff neighbourhood with Victorian terrace houses and on-street parking (free, no permit needed).
Within a 10 minute walk you can find local amenities including a co-op supermarket to purchase groceries and anything else you might need. Our 'don't miss' recommendation is Imperial Cafe.... head here for a delicious 'proper' breakfast to start your day.
It's a short walk to Roath (area of Cardiff) where you'll find plenty of places to eat & drink.
You will be staying just 1.5 miles from Cardiff City Centre. It’s about a 35mins walk to the city centre or easy to get there via public transport.
It's an ideal base if you're in Cardiff for work or leisure. Wales Principality Stadium, Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff Castle, St Davids shopping Centre and all the excellent bars and restaurants the city has to offer are all in close proximity.
The attractions of Cardiff Bay are also just 2 miles away. The Bay has lots to offer bars, restaurants, International White Water Centre, Cardiff International pool, ice rink and much more. It can be a great escape from city life with a lovely walk around the barrage into Penarth Marina.
