We had a great stay at this unit. The location is absolutely great and the hosts were very friendly and responsive.I read the review of the people who rented this unit just before us. In my opinion that review was extremely unfair and quite frankly mean spirited. Some people are just not nice!Yes the carpet was getting a little old, but it was clean and the owners are planning on replacing it soon. Everything else was great. Not sure what the complaints about the kitchen was about. There was everything you need and the knives were sharp.We would definitely rent this unit again.

This unit needs a complete update. Carpet is filthy, kitchen equipment is old, abd in general its run down. Location is good but there are much better choices within the complex. We have rented multiple time in Ekahicabd this is the worst unit of them all. Owner needs to rip it out to the studs and remodel.

We take comments like yours very seriously. Cleanliness is extremely important to us, and we believe that it is reflected as one of the things that prior guests that have have appreciated and rated highly. After receiving your feedback, we reached out to our cleaners as well as the subsequent guest to ensure the unit was clean. With respect to the carpets, they are scheduled for replacement next month. We note that this will be the third time that we have replaced the carpets since 2019 (being on the top floor requires us to have carpet per the AOAO rules). In respect of the kitchen, the fridge and built in microwave were purchased in 2025, while the dishwasher and stove were purchased in 2017. As for the other kitchen supplies we will review their condition and ensure that updates are made as needed. Ongoing improvements are part of our long-term plan, and detailed guest feedback helps us prioritize those upgrades. That said, we understand that every guest has different preferences and expectations when it comes to décor, finishes, and level of modernization. While many of our returning guests appreciate the unit’s comfort and location, we understand that our unit was not the right fit for your tastes—and we certainly respect that. We appreciate your honest feedback and your comments will help us continue improving the experience for future guests.

You can hear the waves from the lanai, almost as close as you can get to the main pavilion, super clean as usual. This is my 2nd time staying in this unit and will definitely book it again!!! Location can’t be beat!

David was a great guest and easy to work with. His communication was great and he was very respectful and clean. My thumbs clicked too quickly and I gave him 4 stars instead of 5 stars- eek! Tried to fix but VRBO wouldn’t let me. We would rent to him again for sure without hesitation.

Ideal location

Condo location is ideal. So close to the pool and the beach. It has a sweet little kitchen, which is great for families. Only drawback is that the unit is carpeted, which activated allergies for our whole family.

At Wailea Ekahi village, all upper floor units must be carpeted under the AOAO bylaws. We encourage all guests to let us know of any issues during their stay. We replaced the carpet in the unit last year and while it is difficult to pinpoint the source of sensitivities, we have requested a deep carpet cleaning based on your feedback. Everything was exactly what was expected. We were there to get married on Maui and we’re very pleased with our accommodations and the location was simply perfect! Definitely want to return. Property owner was very helpful with everything!

Great studio condo close to pool/beach

The studio met all our expectations. Excellent location, quiet, close to the main pool, pavilion, barbeques and beach. The bed and couch were very comfortable. WiFi worked great. TV was a little confusing to use but we didn’t use it much. Beach chairs and umbrellas were great to have. Generally had everything we needed for a great 10-day stay.

The Mary Poppins of Studios

Practically perfect in every way! Smartly laid out to make the most of every square inch. Gorgeous ocean view. Steps to the main pool and its nicely done pavilion. Modern, quiet AC unit that cools the place down quickly so you can cool off the unit, turn it off and sleep listening to the ocean. Great (and QUIET) washer dryer stacked unit. Huge sectional couch. Brand new TV on a swivel so you can watch from the couch or bed. Kitchen has everything you need including a nice blender. Comfy bed; tons of hot water. Fluffy towels and if you need more, the place is stocked. The Ekahi is quiet with beautifully maintained grounds. I can't say enough nice things about the thoughtful and responsive owners. They really make sure everything is perfect and reply immediately to any question. They are proud of their unit and it shows. Book without hesitation.

Incredible Location!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at this condo this past May and overall had a fantastic experience. I should have left a review a while ago but I guess I wanted to keep this place a secret, however I think the word is out. This is a great condo; below I will go over our pro's and then just one con from our experience. Pro's: Location, location, location! The condo is on the second floor and is about a minute walk (ok maybe two if your on island time) from the pool complex and beach access point. You can see the pool complex from the deck as well so you can see if the pool is busy or not. It's close to everything in Wailea; you are walking distance to the mall as well as some of the larger resorts, like the Andaz. The condo is large and perfect for a couple. It has everything you need to be comfortable enough. The beach is fantastic and you can enjoy a dip in the water and or walk on it in both directions. The deck; is large enough that we ate dinner every evening outside. There is a grill on the desk also and we used it a lot, though I couldn't figure out the second burner until the last evening, so that was on me and should not be a reflection on the owner. Con: upon arrival the bathroom could have been cleaner. It felt like a rush job to turn the unit over that day.. It wasn't bad, but when there is hair left on the shower wall, it sort of gives you a yuck feeling. Nothing a paper towel can't take of and then move on. It just felt either the cleaner was in a hurry or maybe having a bad day. It's not a big deal, as stuff happens. Misc/observation: The only other thing and I always have a question about Hawaii condo's in general is why carpet vs tile? The unit has carpet in the main area/floor. If I would suggest anything on a future update or remodel - loose the carpet and put in tile. I understand it's less expensive initially, but I would think t's easier to clean and it stays cool to the touch. But, I'm not a homeowner in Hawaii and only a vacationer so take that with a grain of salt. Don't let this deter you from staying here, unless you hate carpet. If so then this place isn't on your list anyway. Smmary: Would we stay here again, absolutely! We love the condo! We booked this trip in 2019, delayed a couple of times due to COVID, then added a day, and all along Sami was great always replied timely. Looking to come back soon!

Aloha Mike, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about the cleanliness of the bathroom and have addressed this issue with our cleaners so hopefully that will not happen again. In terms of the carpet in the unit, the HOA requires that all upper level units at Ekahi village have carpet due to soundproofing concerns. We would love to replace the carpet with tile which we agree would be easier to clean and cooler to the touch. With respect to the BBQs, we are sad to advise that the HOA has also required the removal of all BBQs at Ekahi village since mid-October 2021 to comply with the Maui fire code. Going forward, there will communal BBQ areas set up throughout the complex. We are glad you still enjoyed your stay overall and look forward your return on a future trip!

We love the beachfront and oceanfront location of Ekahi Village. We also enjoy having multiple pools available to choose from. The lush gardens and sprawling lawns of Ekahi Village make it one of the most beautiful properties in Wailea!

Location, location, location! Located in the lower village, this is one of the closest studio units to the ocean, beach and main pool. Less than a 1 minute walk to beach- no more long walks up the hill!
