Our cosy cottage is ideally situated just down the road from Snape, close to the coast. There is wonderful walking in the woods / heaths close by and the sea at Aldeburgh is only 15 minutes away.
The cottage is grade 2 listed and full of old beams and features, including a large feature fireplace. It has a lovely garden, with a patio, overlooked by the church.
The cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard and is well equipped with everything that you may need for your stay.
The space
The property is a listed cottage dating from the 1700s. It is full of old, original features. The stairs are steep and the upstairs is quirkily wonky. The bed and bedside tables have been levelled accordingly. The bathroom is downstairs. There are two bedrooms, although only one is currently set up for letting. A travel cot could go in the second bedroom on request. There are no stair gates at the property and the stairs are not safe for a toddler accordingly.
There is a small private garden with a patio at the back of the property.
We use the property ourselves regularly, so you may find provisions in the kitchen and bathroom, which you are welcome to use.
Guest access
You will have sole use of the cottage and garden.
Other things to note
The property is a terraced cottage in a row of four set back from the main road. There is parking at the rear in a designated spot. The cottage is accessed from the back, via the back garden of the next door property over which we have a right of way. We ask guests to ensure the gates are kept closed at all times, and to respect our neighbours' privacy. On occasion their small dog may be in their back garden as you pass through. He may bark at first if he doesn't know you, but he is very sweet and friendly if you are nice to him.
