Located in central Whitby, with allocated parking on-site, and with everything the town has to offer just a short stroll away, 4 The Mount is the perfect retreat to explore Whitby and the North Yorkshire coast.

The Space:
Upon entering the property, you’ll be welcomed into a bright and spacious hallway. Here you can take off your shoes and coats before stepping into and enjoying 4 The Mount.

The property boasts two king size bedroom, one double, and one twin, all of which can be found on the ground floor. The master bedroom also has an ensuite for added convenience. Each bedroom benefits from premium bed linens and plush bedding.

The family bathroom has a modern freestanding bathtub, overhead shower, WC and wash basin.

Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find a stylish kitchen-diner, along with a delightful living space.

Featuring a large dining table and eight dining chairs, there is ample seating for your whole party to enjoy meals together at 4 The Mount. Fully equipped, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware so you can make the most of your self-catering retreat in Whitby.

Next door, you’ll find the living area which includes wonderful, sloped ceilings with skylight windows, two comfy sofas, a coffee table and flat screen TV. It’s the perfect cosy nook to get lost in a good book, enjoy an afternoon siesta or relax with your loved ones.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to 4 The Mount are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle. Pay & display parking is available nearby for guests staying with more than one vehicle.

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at 4 The Mount per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
4 The Mount is located near the harbour and beach in Whitby, and you’ll find restaurants, shops, pubs less and attractions including the famous whale bones less than a 5-minute walk away.

The house is located on the West side of Whitby at the top of the Khyber Pass. You’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades, wonder along the nearby West Pier, or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just in a short walk from 4 The Mount.

Whitby train station is nearby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
