Located in the quaint village of Cark in Cartmel, this cosy end-terraced cottage benefits from a secluded enclosed garden and is within walking distance of the pub. An ideal couplesâ retreat!. 1 step to entrance.

Bathroom: P-Shaped Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Enclosed back garden with patio area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the garden.. As soon as you enter this cottage you will be comforted by its homely feel. Modern with a touch of period character, this property has pretty sash windows and feature wooden beams dividing the kitchen and dining area from its cosy living room.
Thereâs hanging space for coats in the hallway and a convenient cloakroom with toilet and basin. You will find all the conveniences you need to ensure a comfortable stay in the fully equipped contemporary kitchen. There is also plenty of space at the dining table for four people to share a hearty meal together. The tastefully furnished living room with comfy settee, armchair, electric fire and Smart TV, is ideal for snug evenings in after a day of exploring. French doors lead directly to the private enclosed garden with patio furniture, a true sun trap on warm sunny days. On the first floor is a double bedroom with hanging space and storage. The master bedroom features dual aspects to the front and rear. This room is bright and spacious with plenty of storage and a kingsize bed. The modern bathroom features a P-shaped bath with shower over, toilet and sink.
Cark in Cartmel boasts a general store and a pub, both just a short walk from the cottage. There are numerous walks from the village, including a lovely river path walk to Holker Hall and Gardens. The village also has its own railway station serving the Furness peninsula. Neighbouring Flookburgh is home to a parachute centre where many skydives take place. Cartmel village, famous for its ancient priory is two miles away. It is also the home of a popular racecourse, hosting events throughout the year. Not forgetting the famous sticky toffee pudding shop and Lâenclume, a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is a short drive or train ride away. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, ornamental gardens and a golf course. Set amidst the southern lakes, the small village of Cark in Cartmel makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of the Lake District. With excellent village amenities on the doorstep, this is a delightful base to visit at any time of the year. Beach 4 miles.
