If you want to experience the most old and "venetian" spots in town, trying "bacari" ( traditional old bars where to try "cicchetti" drinking a glass of good wine) and venetian shops, you must look in the Rialto market's area.
Our apartment APONALVIEW offer a startpoint from wich explore the town in a district where you can try to live as venetian people.
The building was already there in 16th century, and his actual aspect probably date of the end of the 18th. In 2023 the whole building had been restaured, mantaining the original image but adding comfort and security.
There is a room with a double bed, a comfortable living room with a sofabed for two, a kitchen-dining room and a bathroom with window and shower.
So the people who don't like to share the same bed have the choice using the sofabed.
Some details: TV in the living room, induction hob, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, soap and hairdryer in the bathroom.
The apartment had a passionate restauration by a venitian who leaved the town for many years before coming back with the desire and love to search and discover again the best of the old Venice.
Leaving the most touristical spots you too will find the original venitian way of live is still alive and beating, just waiting just you to be appreciated again.
In the evening the atmosphere become magic... and coming home in the night in Campo Sant'Aponal have no price.
The location is very pratical, Piazzale Roma and the train station are just 20 minutes walking far, and the Vaporetto line n.1 will directly disembark you at San Silvestro stop, just 90 meters far from home without bridges to cross.
The same line from the same stop will directly bring you to San Marco square, to the Basilica della Salute, to the Lido and the most important attractions.
The apartment, on the second floor (third counting the ground floor itself as first) have various windows on Campo Sant'Aponal, offering both view and brightness, but the bedroom is on a very quiet small street.
As the most part of venitian houses have no lift, but the stairs are comfortables.
Please not that the payment of a "tourist tax" to the city of Venice is compulsory, 4 euro each night each person on the first 5 nights. From the 6th night there is no tax.
ABOUT HEATING AND COOLING
Italy have laws about energy saving. The maximum temperature allowed in the houses in winter is 19° ( 66 Fahrenheit ) whit 2 degrees of tolerance during the heating period, and the minimum temperature allowed in summer during the cooling period is 27° (80 Fahrenheit) with 2 degrees of tolerance.
This means in winter the temperature must not go over 21° centigradi ( 66 Fahrenheit ) and in summer must not be under 25° ( 77 Fahrenheit ), so the heating will not work if temperature is not under 21° and the A/C must not be used if the temperature is lower than 25°.
More than this, in Venice ( Zone E ) the heating plant must be used only between october 15th and april 15th.
We ask our guest to respect these rules, wearing appropriate dress depending on the season.
Venice is at risk of destruction by the growing sea level, and we all must do all we can to avoid it!
We have a storage at ground floor where guests may leave their luggage before the check-in or after the check-out.
Usually someone will welcome you for the check-in, but in special occasions the house is ready for the self-check-in.
