Our Happy Place Scarborough

Situated in the historic Old Town Quarter of Scarborough literally a few minutes walk from the beach and located on the street across the road from the harbour is our one bedroom first floor apartment which is known as ‘Our Happy Place’.

Fully refurbished in Dec 2023 with new carpets, modern window shutters and a full redecoration. The apartment is tastefully decorated in relaxing, neutral colours allowing you to relax and unwind during your stay.

Well located for the Scarborough Spa and Open Air Theatre, Sea Life Centre, Castle and of course Scarborough’s lovely beaches and harbour.

The apartment has a spacious 16ft lounge with big bright windows. There is a double sofa bed (with Emma topper), armchair and table and four chairs which is perfect for eating your Fish & Chips, playing games as a family, or catching up on some work emails.

In the lounge the TV has Netflix (own account required). Also, a DVD player with a selection of films in addition to a mixed selection of board games, and books should you wish to put your feet up and read. If you need information to hand or want to listen to music during your stay, we have also provided a handy Alexa device For guests who need to work during their stay there is good strong WIFI for your laptop, so you can still be on hand for a work.

The spacious bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with Emma mattress, plenty of storage and big windows for lots of natural light. All of our bedding is laundered at very high temperatures and the mattress, duvet and pillows all have protectors on them. There is space for a travel cot in the bedroom and a ‘zbed’ for young child in the lounge but these must be requested in advance.

Our accommodation is suitable for a max of 5, or 6 people if adding the folding bed for child and / or travel cot - but is a MAXIMUM of 4 adults at all times.

No smoking / No pets.

Entrance hallway is fitted with a ring camera which must not be tampered with.

This is our own personal holiday home, and we have created a lovely relaxing space for our family and yours to enjoy. ‘Our Happy Place’ has everything that you could need for a short or long stay including some of the little things which are sometimes overlooked in standard holiday lets, such a USB charger plug sockets, light switch dimmers, and a salon sized mirror and hairdryer point, perfect for getting ready for that night out!

Please note it is a ONE bed apartment. The second room is the living room with sofa bed and single folding bed which is available on request. There is NOT a separate single bedroom .

Any sea view photos have been taken from communal areas or from outside the property. The apartment has a Street and Castle view.

We provide 1 bath and 1 hand towel per guest as we find that if we provide more they are often un-used (but still need re-washing) so we are trying to environmentally responsible, but if you are travelling with hand luggage etc, then please feel free to request extra towels .
