Juniper Cottage is a cosy grade ll listed white wooden-clad holiday home on the main road into Whitstable. The 2 bedroom cottage has been decorated with a home from home feel, making it the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring or simply staying in and enjoying a good board game. The house is only a 2 minute stroll to the town centre and just a further few minutes to the beach near The Neptune pub directly on the beach - perfect for sun-downers whilst watching Whitstable's famous sunsets.
Walk through the door into the snug living room, light the log burner and relax on the sofas with a good book. Past the staircase you will find a fully equipped kitchen/diner with varnished wooden worktops, a butler sink, electric oven & hob and a dishwasher to clean the dirty dishes for you! To the rear of the ground floor, decorated with an ambient feel, is a large bathroom with a WC, basin and bath with overhead shower. In the warmer months, enjoy the country garden with a coffee on the decking in the morning.
Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, both with comfortable iron framed beds, drawers and hangers.
Please note: As the property is old and on a main road, some traffic noise may be heard in the front bedroom. However there is a white noise machine you can use if you are a light sleeper, that eliminates some of the noise.
There is free street parking on the roads to the rear of Canterbury Road such as Swanfield Road and Belmont Road but directly outside the property there are double yellow lines. The nearest paid parking is Shaftesbury Road car park and on the weekends and school holidays there is a charity car park Whitstable Primary School along Oxford Street. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.
You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable. The nearest car park you can reserve on Just Park is the Co-op, directly opposite the house.
There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along High Street, Oxford Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
There are also Taxi services available for short fares or airport runs. The nearest airport is in London and the Ferry port is in Dover.
