A beautiful property perched on a hillside, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and hills. There is a large heated swimming pool with views of the sea And hills. The transfer time from Faro airport is just 25 mins (25km East). Since 2016 We have heating pomp to heat pool in winter time ,september october november,December,January,February,March. The others months we use the solar painel to heat the water at no extra cost.however if requested heating pump have a cost 200euros week
The villa has 9 bedrooms and additional beds , with 8 bathrooms, 5 of which are en suite. 8 bedrooms have air condicioned, wifi , Satelite TV, vídeo projector full hd screen 200" may films from pc (more than a 1000 avaliable, The villa has been built to a high standard. The house is completely private. A large, spacious, fully equipped kitchen for all your needs, dining area and lounge lead to the outside areas with salt water pool, Sunbeds, Terraces, Lawn Gardens about 1000m2 grass. For children's entertainment: TV, WIFI, Wii, PS3, Table Tennis + Other assorted games. The games room has a full-size pool table and table tennis and football table, PC desktop, and a TV room with a 47" led television to play wii,ps3, The pool measures 14x 6 meters with a solar heating system. The shallow end is 90 cm deep, the deep end 2 meter. Depending on availability and time of year, the villa is well suited to operate as 5, 7,8, or 9 bedrooms property, and we can provide pricing on request, the bedrooms is not let as a separate unit and will remain closed if not required. Sleeps 4 up to 19 guests. 2 or 9 bedroom villa. A beautiful property perched on a hillside, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and hills. Swimming pool size 13m to 7m, pool have heating solar system and fences around it; we have a Jacuzzi (hot tub) for 6 persons. being 2km away from cerro sao Miguel ,a travel to the top of Cerro da São Miguel and you won't be disappointed. Amazing views across the whole Algarve. Good road to the top and places to park. Worth parking half way and walking the rest so you can admire the views. Take the track off road to see rare wildflowers and abundant butterflies. Keep your eye skyward and you may see an eagle soaring on the thermals. Well worth a morning visit Imagine being at the top of the Algarve´s world, gazing the sunrise or the sunset, with the beautiful atlantic ocean at one side and the raw small mountains surrounding you. Despite of being the highest, São Miguel mountain is rather low so it is very convenient to drive, bike or walk up there, specially for those sun magic moments. " we are a family of three elements. We had a lovely weeks stay at the villa. It is very large, with various seating areas for dining inside or out. The kitchen is very well equipped, with plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, glasses etc. The pool area is large with plenty of sun beds. The villa is very well situated to visit the whole of the Algarvian coast. Henrique replied very quickly to any questions.

Exceptional place, fantastic owner

We were a group of 7 friends and we managed to have a superb time in the villa, enjoying a room for each person, using the swimming pool, the jacuzzi, the home cinema and having such a good time also thanks to the kindness of Henrique. Definitely recommend it!!

A relaxing get away

We celebrated my mother in laws 80th birthday with a trip to villa colabri. The villa is very large, with lots of room for a large group to be together or find a hideaway to enjoy some privacy. The pool is large the games room well equipped. There are local shops and restaurants , all within a short uber ride away. Carolina and her mother made our trip run smoothly, we ourselves had some logistical problems that they were quick to help us out with. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect for a large family group in every way.

The booking of the villa from the start was easy and communication with Henrique was quick and efficient. We were a party of 4 families with children from the age of 2 to 18. The villa had everything you could wish for and more. The lager on tap was an added bonus for the adults! Plenty of space for all 18 of us and a safe pool environment for the little ones. An amazing time was had by all.

Lovely stay in a beautiful villa

We had the most lovely week in Villa Colibri. The pool and garden was so lovely we didn't venture out much at all but having said that Ria Formosa beach area is beautiful and not so tourist as the Algarve. We loved the sleepy town of Moncarapacho which has nice cafes and restaurants. The Villa has lovely views and plenty of space for large parties and terraces for some quite time. Henrique and Theresa are lovely hosts and so welcoming. This Villa offers great value given its quality and location so we would love to visit again sometime. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Fantastic Host !!

a couple of hiccups, wifi not great and electricity tripping but Henrique did everything he could to rectify asap. We visited his restaurant which was amaising and he was so helpful with taxis, he even delivered us a whole spit roasted pig. Beer on tap is brilliant and I would go again. tip:- a bigger oven

We had a lovely weeks stay at the villa. We were 3 families with teenagers. The villa had everything we needed to ensure all 6 teenage boys were occupied. Large pool -great for water polo and a games /cinema room. The villa has views to the coast from various rooms, veranda and balcony area. The kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen we’ve had for cooking utensils, crockery and glasses and it good to have enough seating for all whether inside or outside. Carolina our host responded very quickly to any queries we had and supplied us with local knowledge for our trips. Our late night trip to the doughnut shop was the best following an enjoyable meal at the family’s restaurant. Thanks to Carolina for a great stay.

Fantastic family get together

The villa was just great for what we wanted. A nice big place with plenty of space for 11 of us including four young grandchildren. The kids loved being in and out of the pool and the outside hot tub. The huge film room was great for the evenings when we could plug the children in.. The table tennis and pool table kept adults and children well amused also. The huge living room log fire was especially welcome in the evenings and the barbecue area outside came into play may times. The wifi was brilliant and never failed. Henrique and Teresa were very good hosts and always so pleasant. The furnishings are not luxurious which suited us well as we didn't have to worry too much about the children.but the whole place was very clean and tidy. All in all it was perfect for our needs.

The villa is pretty much as described. My family really enjoyed the stay. The villa itself has a great sized swimming pool plus a Hot tub both of which got a lot of use. One small minus was that whilst all the bedrooms were air conditioned the family and games room were not. Not a big problem as there are plenty of doors and windows which can be opened and fans available if additional cooling required. The property is large and very good for a family of all ages. The large number of bedrooms and bathrooms making life simple. Every appliance you need is there extending to a tapped barrel of beer if specifically ordered! The family run villa is set a few KMs outside Moncarapacho which is a small town that isn’t touristy but more local Portuguese. The same local feel applies to the beaches which are a short drive away. The beaches are equally pleasant long and sandy with the requisite beach bar. English is spoken but the majority of people are Portuguese. A plus in my book!Any minor problem at the villa was instantly addressed. The family run restaurant in Moncarapacho is well worth a visit or two. Just like the villa family run with friendly service. All in all a nice place run by nice people

Fantastic break

We have just returned from a week long family holiday at this villa. Henrique is a great host and has been more than obliging to our group - even providing us with a delicious pack of freshly cooked octopus from his restaurant after our attempts of cooking some ourselves failed miserably. The villa is very clean and presentable. As a previous reviewer has commented, the furnishings are not necessarily brand new but to be honest, when you have a group that includes teenagers, it's good that you can just relax in your surroundings. In my opinion, having a spotlessly clean villa with plenty of beach towels, kitchen utensils, knives that are actually sharp etc; is more important. The star of the trip was the huge pool, hot tub and having the beer on tap (well worth the extra charge) There is nothing within walking distance, so this is something to bear in mind. However, the Wi-Fi, cinema and games room ensure all ages are catered for. As our younger family members are getting to an age where they may not be not be interested in a group holiday next year, this years break could not have gone any better and we will always remember the fantastic time we had here. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to groups and families who just want a chilled out break.

Villa Colibri

Located on rising ground just north of the small town of Moncarapacho and below the highest point on the Algarve, villa Colibri enjoys great views toward the sea. It was big enough to accommodate 17 of us over 3 generations. It has excellent facilities, including a great pool that was never crowded even with all of us in it. The holiday was delayed for two years by the pandemic but Henrique was very accommodating in extending our booking from 2021 to 2022. He also owns the Restaurant Colibri in Moncarapacho which was well able to cater for us on two occasions during our stay and provided excellent food, which can be booked in advance from menus available at the villa. We had cleaning halfway through, which was very efficiently managed by Henriques wife Teresa. The games facilities were enjoyed by many family members. This was a new part of the Algarve to us and we enjoyed getting to know the pretty towns of Tavra and Olhau. proximity to Spain meant that two separate groups from the family were able to enjoy trips to Seville, one staying overnight. Being quite high up the villa benefits from the breezes coming off the Atlantic but all bedrooms have airconditioning to aid sleeping when it gets really hot. The wi fi can be a little challenging to manage as it can change as you move around the property but is otherwise manageable. Overall plenty of space allowed for a relaxing time to create a truly memorable holiday to celebrtae my wife's 70th birthday, albeit delayed for 2 years! Thanks to Henrique and Teresa.

Mooi huis en mooi groot zwembad, leuke week gehad met ons gezin.

Restaurant Colibri van eigenaar aanrader. Omdat het huis door veel mensen bewoond wordt vraagt het veel onderhoud. Dat was ook wel nodig want losse wc- brillen, klinken enz waren er ,maar alles bij elkaar was het huis en zwembad prima. Slaapkamers airco, woongedeelte erg warm is geen airco. Een paar minpunten, harde bedden, jacuzzi staat dag en nacht te brommen, maar het ergste waren de vliegen. Ik denk omdat er een voliere met grote vogels aanwezig is en die vliegen aantrekken. Ook zou een grote vuilcontainer fijn zijn. Iedere dag brachten we het afval en lege flessen weg, temeer doordat de vliegen die daar op af kwamen.

Very spacious family villa

Perfect family holiday villa. We were a family of 17 people, age ranges from 6 to 78.. We really enjoyed our time at the villa. There was plenty of space and separate areas to play and relax in. The kitchen was well equipped, there were both indoor and outdoor dining areas large enough to accomodate us all. It's a lovely quiet location with views of the sea to the south. The pool is a great size and the area surrounding it has lots of trees and shady areas. The host family couldn't be more accomodating, they were helpful and attentive and always available with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this villa for a large holiday group.

Large family gathering

This Villa is a good size space and there was ample room for the 15 of us. The Villa is tired , handles are broken , shower screens missing ,Fridges and the coffee broken and the Cooker was more than quirky to use. In the basement there is a bathroom with no light bulb I expect this house sees quite a lot of partying over a year. At the price we paid we would have hoped the owner should plough some of the rent back into this house really ,to keep it tip top. Sadly the showers and bathrooms need more attention paid to the level of cleanliness, the plug holes where clogged and drains blocked to more than one of the bathrooms. On arrival there was sadly only 3 loo rolls to cover the 5 bathrooms. We loved the games room, some new investment in table tennis balls would be good. Having said all that , the pool is wonderfully and the gardens really great. The area and the Portuguese fabulous. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

We own restaurant colibri in Moncarapacho over 30 years , we have some experience about service with people , we know since long time ago there two king of guest , guests who complain in front of you others just in the back , for the last one mentioned we call haters . By the way the handle from door was broken in your party , ask your son he contact me by wathsapp about it . Don’t worry was not the first time guest broke things and review it . There are clients impossible to make them happy for more you ask , they just say it on reviews is frustrating…but nothing we can do about it . Except from cooker that is in the villa since 10 years and cooked to more than 100 families with no clames , all issues could be fixed during your stay . I’m happy after all you and family really enjoyed your stay . Congratulations is the first time that I reply to one review.

Propriété agréable et spacieuse, bien équipée

Grande et belle villa bien distribuée, piscine grande et agréable. Nous avions demandé le chauffage de la piscine. Le jacuzzi a été très apprécié par nos adolescents. Teresa et Enrique, très disponibles ont rapidement résolu les quelques problèmes survenus à l’arrivée. La cuisine est très bien équipée, la pompe à bière que nous avions demandé a été appréciée. La région est belle et permet de belles visites. Un excellent séjour pour tout le monde.

Espaçoso e calmo.

Vivenda com grandes condições para grupos grandes, alguma manutenção necessária (alguns ares condicionados) e a limpeza deveria ser mais eficiente. Local calmo mas seguro. Piscina de água salgada com boas dimensões, jacuzzi também bom. Espaço exterior bom, sala de jogos e sala de cinema. O proprietário também esteve sempre acessível.

Hello pleasure to meet you! we are a family of three elements. Henrique Graça , Teresa Mártires and Carolina Graça(daughter)

we have experience since 2012 we have this villa , "villa Colibri" and we also have other local accommodation in the interior of moncarapacho "Casa Colibri"
We also have a restaurant called " Restaurante Colibri" which is very well known in the area and it is quite common for us to receive our guests from Villa Colibri for dinner or lunch. we have delicious and portuguese food.
We have a lot of experience with the public and we are very happy to meet new guests. We always give advice on places to visit/where to eat and what to do so that you can enjoy your holidays at 100%.
We also live in the area and are always close by if you need anything. We also speak English/Spanish and a little French.
We also love to travel and plan holidays, we always take holidays abroad and we understand the customer's point of view. Our objective is that you have a great vacation!!
