Gut: Sauberkeit, Zustand der Unterkunft und Kommunikation
If you wish to quite literally fall into York history this is a great place to stay. I believe the furthest distance we had to walk to get anywhere was a whooping 15 minutes (most of the things we planned were 10 or less).
The flat is exactly as described. It's actually quite spacious for two people and you can spend quite a bit of time watching people mill around Clifford's Tower. The bed and couch/chairs are comfy, and you have a spare blanket and a few towels, as well as 'starter' kitchen items and a few biscuits which can get you sorted until you get your bearings.
Things to note: You are RIGHT next to the road - so if you are not used to traffic do bring some ear plugs (which we did, and it worked fine). There is only two things that are minor (and I mean minor) niggles. One is there is a blind but no curtains in the bedroom - so if you stay in summertime be ready as the room can and will light up EARLY. (Next time I'm bringing a sleeping mask.) Next, the coffee machine they have is the odd-shaped Nespresso pods. Not ones you can easily find in shops. So if you are die-hard Nespresso, message the group to check on the machine type there because I did not get lucky in my search (but I wasn't staying long so just went with the basic coffee).
Outside of that you get plenty of info prior to the trip, and we had no issues getting in or out. I would quite happily stay here again.
