The locality boasts some pretty little seaside villages like Sandhead and Portpatrick. A must is a visit to the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve, Scotland’s most southerly point and where thousands of sea birds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. There are beautiful gardens to visit including Glenwhan, which is on your doorstep, and the world-renowned Logan Botanical Gardens at Port Logan. Walking is a delight in this area of southern Scotland whether it be cliff top, beaches, hills or forests. It is also a cyclist’s paradise with the world-famous 7Stanes within easy reach at Kirroughtree. For the golfing enthusiast there are many courses close by including the county course just 2 miles away. Stranraer, which is only 6 miles away, offers a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. With so much on offer whatever you decide return to Home Farm - The Farmhouse and enjoy a relaxing time in the hot tub. Beach 7 miles. shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
