Spend a day in the charming town of Llangollen, a small town steeped in myth and legend. The town is perhaps better known for hosting the International Music Eisteddfod in the summer, where thousands of visitors flock every July, but even if visiting out of season there is no shortage of things to do. Visit the home of the ’Ladies of Llangollen’, Plas Newydd, one of Wales’ famous tourist attractions. Children can experience life as a Victorian and be subjected to a lesson by Victorian schoolmasters at ’The Victorian School and Museum’. The property floods three to four times a year and therefore the basement is always damp. It is therefore not suitable for those with asthma, bronchitis or other breathing issues. It is however a very interesting place to visit and see the old mill workings etc.
