Bushwhacked is conveniently placed on the outskirts of Barberton in a quiet, scenic, safe area. There is a very relaxed feel to the place with friendly animals (chickens and dogs) roaming around. It is a good base spot to use as a springboard to visit a lot of attractions in the area. The Makongwa Mountains behind us are a world heritage site where some of the oldest rocks in the world are showcased on our 'Geotrail' which is a 45km scenic drive through the mountains with 11 stops with plaques explaining what you are looking at and how it was formed. Barberton is an old Gold mining town, still with several operational gold mines. There are several museums in town depicting this.
The Kruger national park is a 1 hour drive away.
There is a resort with hot pools, slides and many other activities just 1 hour away.
The Panorama route can be visited in a days outing.
Kaapsehoop is just around the corner to see the wild horses and enjoy a walk and a snack in one of their teahouses.
