Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £150 security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

What an amazing place

We booked this last minute and we were not disappointed. Lodge was beautiful, modern, light, extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need and more. The living space and beds were extremely comfortable. Hot tub was a lovely added bonus and relaxing. The location is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing and perfect for walks with our two dogs. Roadford lake is stunning and lovely little cafe to waste the time away in with delicious homemade cakes. My only negative would be no enclosed outside space so had to take dogs out in lead every time and you did have to pay £40 extra for each dog. We will definitely be returning

Great Family Time Retreat

Excellent family weekend we had the best time as your a bit away from anywhere it’s nice to spend time together etc .

4th time we’ve returned!

Had a great Christmas, the hot tub was invaluable and provided many happy moments. Very clean and beds so comfortable, it’s a real home from home! I’ve rebooked for this year already!

Roadford Lodges are the place to be in Devon

Wonderful break

The accommodation had everything we needed, it was suitable for the whole family. It was comfortable and clean, very private, quiet and perfect for our needs. The site was very clean and well looked after. Beautiful surroundings and great walks. Very handy cafe nearby for food and drink. Plenty of places to visit that were a short drive away.

Second Christmas at Lifton

All six of us plus two dogs had a fabulous week! As before, the lodge was clean warm and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was in regular use and was much enjoyed. We will certainly be spending more christmases at Lifton in the future.

Fantastic Lodge

The lodge was clean and contemporary 3 of us stayed with our two dogs we all had a fabulous time even managed to use the hot tub between the rainy days. The only downside was that there is no enclosed garden would benefit from an area where the dogs could also in the garden

Birthday stay

The Lodge was very beautiful and very clean with everything that you need being provided. It was quite lovely and would definitely be back to celebrate with my friends. However, I was quite annoyed at the fact I had a noise complaint and I was called saying that we needed to be more quite in the middle of the day. The music was not loud as we were speaking and could hearing ourselves without having to shout. Overall, we did enjoyed our stay.

Just what we wanted

Wow… myself and my sister brought this as a gift for our family for Christmas. My parents and auntie arrived for us and called to say just WOW! It was amazing. When we arrived we were so pleased with what we had booked. Such a beautiful and quiet location, the lodge was beautifully decorated, very modern and accessible (great for my dad who’s mobility isn’t great) So comfortable and clean. Also great for dogs. 1hr max to the places we wanted to visit. Great gym to use which we did most days. Highly recommend to others and we would love to come back.

The hot tub gave half of our party a bacterial rash

Very nice, quiet location near the edge of Dartmoor. We stayed during the Roadford Lake triathlon and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, the hot tub water hadn't been treated properly and three of our party got a bacterial skin infection from it (hot tub folliculitis), including two children. I emailed the agent to let them know and they blamed it on us, essentially telling us it was because we didn't shower before getting in the hot tub. I've requested evidence of the testing on the water completed before our stay but they haven't provided it. Very poor customer service and no acceptance that they could have done things better. I would avoid if you want a clean hot tub. We have owned a hot tub, regularly treated the water and have never had this problem. The instructions given in the welcome email for the EV chargers on site were also not correct. The QR code on the chargers said it wasn't registered to any payment system and the app the email said to download didn't recognise chargers in that location. I let the agent know this when I provided feedback about the hot tub and they said 'why didn't you complain while you were there?' It feels like they don't care about the issues raised and are just trying to avoid taking any responsibility. Will not be booking with them again.

We have requested the maintenance record from the team responsible for servicing the hot tub and are currently waiting for this to be sent to us. Once received, we will review it and share it with you. We're also sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with the EV chargers. Unfortunately, we weren't aware there was an issue with the QR code during your stay. Had we known at the time, we would have been able to arrange assistance through our local support team, who are available to help guests with issues that arise during their holiday. We appreciate that this doesn't change your experience, but we would have welcomed the opportunity to assist while you were at the property and potentially resolve some of these issues during your stay. Nice

Okay- was expecting luxury but the lodge is looking a little tired. Needs more glasses especially wine glasses, mix of very small glasses! Could do with a deep clean too.
