It is deceptive to call this a luxury apartment
An old building converted into eight apartments that are cheaply furnished and renovated. The surrounding area is pretty run down but conveniently located. You can easily hear voices in nearby apartments. There are several sets of narrow stairs with few handrails-not suitable if you travel with large suitcases or don't manage stairs well. We appreciated management arranging for us to leave our luggage and check in an hour early. The cleaner was there and helped us with our luggage. He was great and the apartment was very clean. BATHROOM:There is no soap, shampoo or conditioner provided. The shower is fine but in a small cubicle. The hand-held leaks a bit and doesn't easily stay put. The vanity is ridiculously tiny--it's a challenge not to spill water on the floor. There's no place to put your toothbrush let alone a toilet bag. The two bath towels and two handtowels provided are good quality. No flannel/face washers. BEDROOM:Queen size bed is ok but the bed is shoved against the wall so no bedside table on one side. There are stains on the ceiling and wall in the corner over the bed. LIVINGROOM is dim- the only daylight comes through the door from the bedroom window. There's a skylight (we were in #6) but it's covered with no instructions/remote that we could find to retract it. The table and 2 chairs are a little bigger than a child's set. The fridge is adequate. We didn't use the washing machine, toaster, microwave stove or cooktop. There's no dishwasher or dryer.
