Take a stroll through the Old Gaol House, the Guildhall, the fascinating Norman cathedral, and the majestic 12th-century priory that has been abandoned since the 16th century. Wenlock Edge, which is around 15 miles long, rises above the town and is a great place to go walking, biking, or horseback riding because of the beautiful scenery. Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, and Ludlow, all of which are mediaeval marvels, as well as the World Heritage Centre of Ironbridge, home to nine museums and the Blists Hill Victorian Village, the incredible Wroxeter Roman City, and the imposing Stokesay Castle, are all within easy driving distance.
