The second apartment was good
This was the second apartment where I stayed one of two nights. The first one was in the centre of York. In the first apartment the hot water did not work. I called customer service who scheduled a plumber for that evening while we were out. When we came back we found that the problem was not fixed. No communication from the agency and it was too late for us to call since their offices where closed at that point. The following morning I called and luckily we got our apartment changed.
We still spent one day without being able to take a shower and had to move. Nobody followed up on the issue so had I not called the following day we would have kept the place with no hot water. Although the problem was fixed on the second day I would have still expected some form of compensation for the first night, since we had an a place that was below living conditions.
