Welcome to the enchanting Magdala Cottage, a delightful 2-bedroom terrace house nestled in the historic village of St Peters, Broadstairs. A cosy retreat that serves as your perfect base for exploring the charming seaside towns of Broadstairs (5 minute drive), Margate (10 mins drive), and Ramsgate (10 min drive).

Step into the enchanting village of St Peters, where history echoes from its church dating back to 1070. Join a village tour from May onwards for deeper insights. Within a 5-minute walk, discover two local pubs The Red Lion and The Albion Inn both offer great food and live music or sample Kentish Ales and Local Ciders at the local micro pub The Four Candles There are also a selection of takeaways close by (and they offer delivery too) Fish and Chips, kebab shop, Chinese and Pizza . As well as this, there is a Co-op Supermarket and butchers.

Rain or shine there is lots to do see and explore in Thanet (Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate, Westwood Cross), All are with-in a 10 minute drive or reachable using the train. Our extensive guidebook provides further info on this.


As you step into Magdala Cottage, a warm and homely ambiance greets you. The bright dining area with seating for 6 and a vintage-style reading chair sets the scene for memorable evenings. The cosy lounge beckons with a large sofa, velour armchair, and an ornamental fireplace, complemented by a smart TV offering catch-up channels and streaming services (guests login into their own accounts).

There is one step down into the kitchen. The kitchen, equipped with an electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, coffee machine (filter coffee) and microwave. All cooking essentials are provided for those who wish to cook up a storm. Off the kitchen is the main bathroom featuring a bath with an overhead shower, toilet, and hand basin.

Magdala Cottage's back garden is a verdant retreat adorned with blooming flowers in the summer. An outdoor table with seating for 4 invites you to relax and unwind, whether it's a warm summer evening dinner or breakfast as the sun rises.

Upstairs unveils the spacious main bedroom with a snug king bed, hanging space, and drawers for storage. The vibrant second bedroom boasts 2 single beds, offering both hanging and storage space.

Parking outside the property is unrestricted, though finding a space right outside may vary. Surrounding streets are available for parking.

Travelling by road: The M20 and M2 motorways provide easy links from London into Thanet.

Broadstairs train station is approx 20 minutes by foot and is regularly served by Southeastern High Speed services travelling to/from London St Pancras as well trains from London Victoria. The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station

National Express runs a national network of coach services. Coaches run from London Victoria to various stops in Thanet and take approximately 2 hours.

Frequent bus services: the Thanet Loop serves Margate, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood Cross.
