Perfectly situated right in the centre of Bowness on Windermere. Local attractions, shops, restaurants and bars all within a few minutes walk away.. 12 steps to entrance.

The apartment would suit a family of four or two couples looking to explore the area. A modern 1st floor apartment perfectly placed to enjoy all that Bownesss-on-Windermere has to offer, including some of the Lake District’s finest attractions.

Take a cruise on Lake Windermere to Ambleside or across to Lakeside to enjoy a day at The Aquarium or hop on the steam train to Haverthwaite. Alternatively, try your hand at sailing and hire your own boat for a few hours. Paddle boarding is also a popular activity on the lake, so if you have one, then it’s certainly worth bringing it along. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to Beatrix Potter World and the wonderful Art Deco Royalty Cinema. If you’re feeling energetic, so many walks can be found nearby including ’Orrest Head’ in Windermere, a relatively short walk offering spectacular views over Lake Windermere.

Some of the Lake District’s fantastic fells are a mere short drive away, as well as the small ’Alpine’ like village of Grasmere, where William Wordsworth is laid to rest at St. Oswald’s Church, and if you’re a fan of Gingerbread, a visit to Grasmere Gingerbread shop is a must!

Good free parking, excellent location, very close to all attractions. We were able to cook a roast, so kitchen had all that was needed. On the down side, rad in main bedroom didn’t work, no rad in second bedroom (I like a cold bedroom) rad in the living room barely worked. Light in second bedroom didn’t work. The main issue, which would stop me booking it again is that there was only comfortable seating for 3 people, and the apartment is for four people! So after out walking all day, and 2 of our group had just run the OMM (originally mountain marathon) one of us had to sit on either the foot stool, or dining chair there is space for another comfortable chair with a bit of rearranging. So overall good

Excellent location in Bowness, read on for other info

The apartment is adequately appointed, though if you are staying in, not a lot to do besides television is provided. At the time of our visit, we thought the place could be kept better, such as carpets needed to be cleaned, a towel bar placed in the bathroom, barely any toilet paper on the roll, and only two sheets of kitchen roll. Do not expect common condiments, such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper, etc. Finding the entry door from the parking lot was not described in a lot of detail. You'll come up some steps from the parking in the rear, (but be happy for the parking!) and round the Trattoria, then past several shops to the far corner where several apartment entrances are marked. Be sure to arrive well before 9 if you need to eat, as that is closing time. The primary bedroom windows are just above street level and going to bed early could be a challenge, especially on a weekend night. Be aware of the stairs. It is hilly, and there are many stairs to the apartment itself. Finally, we found the wifi code and password quite difficult to locate, but it is now written on the front of the welcome packet. Do look inside the storage ottoman for additional information about the area.

Location and parking 10/10.cleanliness terrible left over chip in oven from previous guests dirty tinfoil lining the oven fat dripping down the oven door.left over boogies left on the door.The mould in the back bedroom resulting in my son having to stay elsewhere with friends.No refund given due to my blurry photos (which weren’t) I’m not a professional photographer.The cleaning company lied about this if you have a complaint please do so while your there and take lots of pictures as they will say the photos are blurry.Not acceptable to left people stay in a mouldy unclean apartment but it is up for sale so they clearly aren’t bothered.internet not working the shower was unbearable overall 10/10 for disappointment
