Lovely central one bedroom flat with outdoor space, Kennington

Enjoy my lovely flat in Kennington! Located on the entrance to a beautiful square, walking distance to the river & just a 15 minute walk to Westminster & the Southbank. A perfect location, close to London attractions & short journeys to airports.

My flat is beautifully furnished with restored wooden flooring, lots of light and a little terrace that you can enjoy during the spring/summer. Ideal for friends, couples or business guests! Great places to eat brunch/dinner near by, I have lots of recommendations!

This is not an empty commercial holiday apartment - the flat is my home! You will find a whole bookshelf of books you can borrow, a set of boules to use in the cute little square around the corner and all of the condiments and sauces you might need for cooking. Hopefully more character than staying in a hotel and will feel like a really lovely home away from home in a quiet, pretty part of central London.

Have previously rented lots of times on Airbnb but less on VRBO so I have attached a photo of the previous reviews.

Cozy stay

We had a wonderful 7 day stay in this Appartement. The location was perfect for us: close to all the sights in the city and so quiet that you might think you were in a small town. The pubs just a few minutes’ walk away were also great. The apartment was a very nice base. Admittedly, the layout of the space in the apartment takes a bit of getting used to, but there’s still more room than in a hotel room. Communication with the landlord was excellent. At times, we would have appreciated having a second key, but that’s just a minor point.

Absolutely incredible stay. Everything within walking distance and close to public transportation. Impeccably clean and cozy apartment, with everything you need inside. Would stay here every time I come back to London and recommend to anyone looking! Absolutely no complaints, we had an incredible stay here. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage inside, as the housekeeper was on the property cleaning for our stay. Seamless check in and out. Our London stay

A lovely place, perfect for two. Located in Kennington, an interesting and vibrant neighborhood, the flat is convenient to public transit, services, and several welcoming local pubs. Clean, fully equipped kitchen, warm and cozy. Lacking a TV, there were plenty of good books to choose from after returning from a day of touring. We enjoyed our stay immensely and recommend checking it out when looking for a place to stay in London.

Delightful flat and convenient to travel.

Flat has everything you need, and is cleverly planned to hold everything in a very tidy way. HB is very responsive and pleasant to work with. Would recommend to anyone wanting a space in London to go work, visit and explore. Nicely walkable to Kennington and Vauxhall stations, plenty of good food to eat locally, and there's a charming city farm a slight walk away.

Marvellous

This beautifully decorated apartment was the perfect accomodation for our four-days stay at London. It is located in a lovely suburban neigbourhoud in the quarter of Kennington. Shops where you find anything you need for your daily necessities are located only a few steps away and open 24/7. Public transport takes you whereever you want within a few minutes. Last but not least, Hannah-Beth, the landlord, is easily reachable and glad to help with any problem there may be. This apartment is a clear recommendation!

Great location!

We used Hannah-Beth’s flat during our six night stay in London. The location was incredible. Although the bus and tube were just a short walk away, most of the time we were able to walk. We went down Black Prince street to the Thames and walked along the river to our destinations. This is the first time we have stayed in someone’s personal home, which definitely had a different feel than staying in a vacation property. We ate two meals per day at the flat and found the kitchen very adequate to prepare those meals. The bed was very comfortable for us. All in all, we were pleased with Hannah-Beth’s home.

Disappointed...

I have stayed in rentals on two continents and this property is NOT what was advertised. This is someone's home and she rents it out while she travels. The pictures show a neat and tidy place, but there is junk stashed everywhere-- massive recycling cardboard under the table, personal items shoved and spilling out under the bed, behind the couch, etc. Massive amounts of booze on every dusty shelf, and a blackboard with prices for everything! The "patio" is a narrow walkway between the units, and is cluttered with junk. She advertised a washer and dryer, then when you arrive, instructions say not to use the dryer. (And no instructions on how to use the washer/dryer for washing only.) You'll find the hairdryer in a shoebox behind the guitar, in the bedroom, not under the sink with her old hair brush, and half used Listerine bottle. When making the bed, I peeked at the mattress-- stained and disgusting. Towel dryer doesn't work. These 'non working' items were listed in a previous review, but not fixed. You are left instructions on what to do with the trash, and to water the house plants. Sorry, I rented a place-- I'm not your house sitter! Usually, a host leaves a small amount of food--yogurt, muffins, etc. to tide a guest over until they can go shopping. Not so here. A previous review was not complimentary of this place and the owner slammed them for the negative review. Hopefully, she can address these deficiencies as a grown-up and not slam me,

Beautiful Apartment

Communication with the host was very easy and she was very responsive and helpful at all times. Checking in was really easy as we were given detailed instructions on how to do so. The apartment is very nice and has everything you need. The location is good with pubs, shops and Big Ben all within walking distance. Overall we were very happy and would stay there again!

Perfect cozy getaway!

This flat was exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for! Adorable neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and pubs nearby and easy to get to anywhere in the city. Keep in mind that this is the hosts home which we loved because it felt so cozy and welcoming. Definitely a home away from home. Exactly as advertised. This is a personal little flat with pretty much everything you enjoy at home. Plenty of books/games at hand but no TV, so if you require this take a tablet/laptop to live stream. Hannah-Beth, the host is always quick to answer questions if required. Checking in/out easy. Pubs/restaurants/cafes are all on the doorstep with the Kennington tube just a 5 minute walk away, and you can be in central London in no time.

Lovely Kennington flat

The flat is in a great location. Near Kennington underground which is directly connected to all the main areas of London. There is a nice pub across the road and cafes and restaurants in the local area. The flat itself is well laid out with a decent kitchen and good shower. It was a bit disconcerting to have the owners things everywhere. We haven't stayed anywhere like that before but we got used to it. Would have liked a bit more room in the fridge but we managed to get our items in. Flat very clean and in the summer the small balcony area would be good to use. We would visit again.

Great location quaint place

It is as it states. Owners stuff is in the unit, however, there is room for your needs and the location is a 5 minute walk to the Tube for transportation, 30 minute walk to waterfront. Amazing stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

This is my home. It is warm and cosy in the winter and has a lovely terrace that you can sit out on and have a coffee in the summer. I live there for most of the year so everything inside it is really lovely. Make yourself at home, enjoy a cold beer from the fridge and make use of the salt/pepper/spices etc in the cupboard. The flat is very central but tucked off of the main road with the bedroom on the back overlooking a courtyard so it is really quiet!

- Central location - I walk or cycle to most places!
- Great transport links (close to Vauxhall and Kennington tube stations, a bus stop with routes down to Brixton and up to Oxford Street and Elephant and Castle/Vauxhall/Waterloo train stations which make getting out of London really easy).
- Lovely terrace which gets the sunshine in the morning - perfect for a morning cup of tea/coffee.
- I renovated the flat so even though it isn't a huge space, it is perfectly designed to be comfortable - lovely double bed, huge sofa, new kitchen with a big fridge freezer, the best rain shower!
- It is on the entrance to Cleaver Square! This is a little oasis of loveliness in the big city! In the winter, have a delicious roast at the pub or in the summer, rent a set of boules from there and play a game of petanque in the sunshine!
