You could quite easily just wallow in the view, and not do anything else, it is that astonishing.

Perfectly positioned this comfortable cottage really does enjoy the best of both worlds. Peace and seclusion yet only a few minutes' drive from all local amenities. Outdoor enthusiasts will marvel in the plethora of footpaths and cycle ways accessible from the front door, including the delights of the nearby Grizedale Forest and Tarn Hows.

Ground floor
From the garden you immediately enter the modern fitted kitchen and dining area. Well-appointed the kitchen benefits from electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, wood burning stove, exposed beams & French doors which lead out to the fantastic garden.

Just off the kitchen there's also a cosy twin bedroom and separate shower room.

Bedroom 1 - twin single beds.

First floor
Up past the old watercolours, leads to the landing complete with an old drying rack suspended from the ceiling. The sitting room is on this floor but there is a reason for this - you just need to look out of the windows to work it out.

The furniture in the sitting room can't decide whether to be positioned in front of the wood burner or in front of the windows looking out over Coniston Water. Complete with comfortable seating, TV & DVD player this room is perfect for relaxing following a day of exploring.

Upstairs there are also two additional bedrooms, the house bathroom and a door out to the garden.

Bedroom 2 - double sleigh bed.
Bedroom 3 - king size bed or twin 2'6" single beds.
House bathroom - with hand basin, WC and bath with shower over.

Outside
It really is the garden with its views that makes this cottage so irresistible. Dry stone walls surround the garden, keeping the local Herdwick sheep out. Tall pines shelter the woodpeckers you may hear and rhododendrons add seasonal colour. At the bottom of the garden, there are table and chairs in arguably the best position of any such furniture in the area.

The garden also benefits from a shed, perfect for storing bikes & other outdoor equipment.

Travelling with a dog?
We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement with The Coppermines Lakes Cottages only. Please contact the office for availability.
