Within a 5-minute stroll, you'll find the well-stocked, local village shop where you can buy fresh bread every morning, as well as 3 excellent, traditional, locally owned restaurants.

Outside
Vila Monte is a magnificent, large, spacious, traditional, whitewashed building sitting proudly in an elevated position. It's accessed through tall, wrought iron gates that are fob/intercom operated. The front veranda overlooking the fruit trees and the rolling fields beyond is perfect for enjoying a drink and watching village life. The rear veranda overlooks the pool & the hillside beyond and is a lovely place to relax in the shade. There's private car parking at the side of the villa and an arched gate leading to the pool and gardens. The gardens at the front and rear of the property are irrigated using the villa's own borehole. Hidden away at the top of a spiral, outdoor staircase, you'll find a rooftop sun terrace, affording seclusion and beautiful countryside and village views. There's a variety of seating areas and a hammock in the shade of a pine tree.

Pool area
The large, 12.5m pool has the added bonus of heating if required & it's chlorine-free. It's accessed through safety gates fitted within the glass fence. The generous wrap-around pool terrace is well furnished with plenty of luxury sun loungers, and the pergola and palm trees provide excellent shade. There's a built-in bbq kitchen with sink, fridge and an outdoor table to seat 16, as well as a poolside shower and a separate WC/changing room. By night, the pool and all gardens are beautifully lit.

Interior
Tastefully decorated throughout, the emphasis is on contemporary Portuguese style, with freshly- whitewashed walls and luxurious individual detailing. The villa naturally offers wireless internet (even poolside) and air conditioning/heating throughout the property. Exclusive use of all the villa's facilities, pool maintenance & housekeeping is part of the service. Portable highchair & travel cot included.
The spacious kitchen with its large, locally-sourced granite island, has a wide bank of glass doors that open out fully onto the rear veranda and pool area. It's equipped with high-end appliances, including an integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher, microwave/cooker and an innovative hob. The huge marble dining table easily seats 16. The utility room, directly off the kitchen, houses further appliances such as a second fridge/freezer, a second microwave and a washing machine.
The living room has glass doors that open onto the front veranda, & another set that leads to a separate, secluded courtyard. Features are a smart tv with multiple international channels including sports and films, various seating areas, a home office area, air conditioning and an open fireplace for cooler winter evenings.
There's a separate, full bathroom downstairs with a sink, WC and bath with shower above.

All 6 double bedrooms feature the same high-end specification: ensuites with solar-heated wet-room showers, stylish wall-mounted sinks and WCs. Private outdoor seating area with table & chairs.
