Diese Hollywood-Art Art Deco Periode Stadt Haus ist ein großartiger Ort für Ihren Familienausflug nach Silverwood, oder Woche genießen schönen See Coeur d'Alene. Das Stadthaus ist ein schönes 2 Schlafzimmer 1 Bad mit einem großen Wohnbereich. Das Anwesen ist .25 von einem Hektar, der viel im Freien- / Patioraum zur Verfügung stellt. Jedes Hauptschlafzimmer hat ein Queen-Bett, und die Ersatz-Schlafzimmer sind mit einem Twin / Full Etagenbett angeordnet. Schlaf eine auf die Oberseite und zwei auf die untere Koje. Der große Wohnbereich ist auch mit einem Premier Futon und Matratze ausgestattet, bequem Platz für 7. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine voll ausgestattete Küche komplett mit allen Notwendigkeiten, eine Waschküche und Essbereich.
Das Beste von allem, was Sie genießen können, was N. Idaho ist berühmt für - im Freien! Das Haus hat einen großen Hof, ideal für Kinder und Speisen und Speisen im Freien.

Switched to a different house when arrived.

We booked the castle for our first trip to this area to ride the Gran Fondo and was very much looking forward to it. When we were driving there we were informed that there was an issue with this property and that the owner would be moving us to one of his other properties. We were firstly very impressed that he informed us and had a option for us rather than putting us out on the street. We arrived at the new property and was greeted by the owner and his cleaner as they wanted to make sure everything was ok, which again was great, however! Before I carry on, the house was a large property which by the looks of it is used by large groups of guys to party in. This was no where near comparable to "the castle" we booked. The house was in a poor state, the carpet in the living room was stained with various drinks, windows did not lock properly and in general, beds were uncomfortable, ice machine in the fridge did not work, the fridge was on extreme cold and could not be turned down, and many more things. I was truly disgusted that we were having to pay the same amount, although a bigger house, but not what we envisage our holiday living space to be like after booking "the castle". You are to a degree trapped as you have already paid for the property and could not simply say, 'no, i am not staying here". Once we left, we had to wait a considerably amount of time (weeks) to receive our deposit back. I would ensure that you speak to this owner to confirm you will in fact be staying in "the castle" and if not after booking, report it and change to a different property. We will be going back, but not using this owners property.

We were very sorry to hear about this guests experience. We had moved out of town for a few years (we are know back) and while gone left the property under the care of what we thought was a reputable property manager. We only learned of some of our guests poor experiences much later. We have since returned and taken over the management ourselves and guarantee a much better experience. We have also completed a full remodel of the property.

Farthest thing from a Castle

Let me start off by saying, we book VRBO homes 3-4 times a year, so we've had vast experience all over the US with cabins/homes, but I will tell you, this was by far, our least favorite rental that we've ever stayed. First impressions are everything, so when we drove up, the place did not look like a "castle." Set your expectations low, b/c our first thoughts were "what did we get ourselves into" and "how many nights do we HAVE to stay here?" Not a good start to a family vacation. When I walk into a VRBO, I just want to have the "ahhh" moment, feel relaxed and like I never want to leave. As soon as we walked in, the unit just felt old and not like the pictures from this site. We literally went onto VRBO to relook at the images b/c I never would have booked a place like this. The owners state that both units are mirror images...not true. We had the unit on the left and cheap is the only word I can use to describe it. The description says it can host up to 7 people, but we had a 2 chair table so our 3 kids ate meals on the floor at the coffee table. The futon felt cheap (not like a couch you would want to sink into and relax while watching TV). The master bedroom had a cheap, uncomfortable wire bed (not the wooden one in the picture) - the mattress was so cheap my husband and I kept rolling to the middle anytime one of us moved. The pillows were so thin and small I wouldn't even call them a pillow. It was ridiculous (I even took a picture). The kids' room was a cheap wire bunk bed, again, not the pretty wooden bunk bed pictured. The shower curtain was broken upon arrival and laying on the bathroom floor. The laundry room is a musty smelly basement dungeon. There is no dishwasher so we had to wash all the dishes before using (b/c who would trust previous renters w/out a dishwasher to disinfect). The sponge in the sink smelled like mold. The kitchen amenities were basic and minimal at best. Simple amenities go a long way, but this place had none. No Kleenex, No hair dryer. Nothing to go above and beyond. Just cheap and minimal. At most VRBOs they have a binder with local activities, maps, internet codes, etc. Nothing. The description of this place also states "free bikes and kayak." We texted and emailed BOTH owners with no response as to where these items were. And I finally got a response for the Netflix code the last day we were there. We literally just started laughing. I could go on but I've run out of characters

We are very sorry to hear these unfortunate events. We have been out of town and left the property in the care of a reputable property manager. We were surprised to hear some of these comments. For 2020 we have just finished an extensive remodel that includes an all new exterior, with repairs, paint, landscaping, and a complete interior remodel with new cabinetry, flooring, bathroom surround, fixtures, furniture, window coverings, linens, bedding, and appliances. We feel very excited about the outcome and are looking forward to sharing with our future guests

Good homebase

We spent 4 days in Coeur d’alene area; two at Silverwood and 2 in the city, and it had what we needed. We ate out all dinners, which was great because the kitchen was small to prepare meals. It worked great for breakfast/lunch preparations. Bring your own ziploc baggies and Tupperware if you want to pack lunches for the park! The property was about a mile to the downtown restaurants, which was walkable for everyone but our 3.5 year old. The kids loved the bunk beds and we loved that they had their own bedroom. The owners were super responsive and helpful for a request we had about the thermostat. Overall it was a tidy simple place for us to use as our homebase to activities. Thanks for the stay!

First of all, it is very difficult to communicate with owner if you have any questions. This is a duplex. You rent half the house. We ran out of TP and trash bags. The master bedroom door didn't close. Parking can be challenging depending on the people in the rental next door.

Not Worth It

The property itself was fine. The booking process was not great. The owner had a calendar mix up and cancelled the last night of our stay with only a week’s notice. VRBO was super helpful and got our group taken care of. I wouldn’t book again solely because it’s not the worth of being left hanging with no place to stay. As far as the property goes, it felt messy. Not unclean, just cluttery and haphazard. There were only 3 stools for the table. But the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and dishes (including kids’ dishes), and Netflix worked, which was a plus. But overall, not worth the money.

We are very sorry about that calendar mix up. You explained to us your frustration and we take full responsibility. This is why even when it was suggested by VRBO that we might want to cancel the entire stay to prevent a negative review, we decided to honor the period that we could, knowing full well that we would be getting a poor review. It is difficult to find affordable accommodations in our Resort town, which is why you were unable to find another similar replacement. Our fees are similar to a budget motel in a commercial part of town, but feel that we offer so much more .Two bedrooms, living area, laundry facilities, outdoor dining, and a kitchen! Meaning home cooked meals in a dining room setting instead of microwave dinners sitting on your bed! Plus there are so many great free things to do within walking distance of the house-jump from the cliffs into the lake at Tubbs hill, sunbathe at the beach, take the little ones to play in the splash pad at memorial park, take an evening stroll through the tree shaded park, and the list goes on!

Simple and Sweet

Andrew was super accommodating before our stay and made sure all the bikes were lined up for our use. We enjoyed our stay as it was simple and sweet in a great location!

Perfect location at Perfect price

This place was located within walking distance to everything in Cour D Alene. It had all the kitchen stuff to make your own meals and a great grill out back. The washer and dryer were quite convenient. It even had beach towels that we took every day when we walked to the beach at the lake. Andrew was very helpful. It had enough room for our family of six and plenty of games that the kids played every day. It had a TV but we never used it, perfect weather so we used the outside picnic table for meals. Highly recommend this place.

Originally from the beautiful Coeur d'Alene area, Andrew left for about a decade, exploring the world while working for the airlines. Fate intervened when we both found ourselves in Dallas, working for the same airline. It wasn't long before we realized we shared not only a love for travel but also a love for each other.

Fast forward a few years, and now we're a family of five, with three wonderful children and even a grandchild! Our journey into hosting began 17 years ago when we opened our doors to guests from around the globe. Drawing from our extensive travels, we've curated a space that reflects the best of our experiences, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay for all who visit.

Our wanderlust has taken us to every continent and over 80 countries, where we've had the pleasure of staying in hundreds of vacation homes, each offering its own unique charm. From cozy cottages in the English countryside to luxurious villas overlooking the Mediterranean, we've experienced it all. And now, we're excited to bring those worldly experiences back to our own little corner of Coeur d'Alene, sharing the beauty and hospitality of our hometown with fellow travelers.

Our home offers the ideal location: close enough to walk to everything, yet far enough away to ensure a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. All of Coeur d'Alene's main attractions are within a picturesque walk from the house. The beach and boat marina at Coeur d'Alene Lake are just a 5-minute stroll away, where you can rent boats and jet skis. Right down the street, you'll find the vibrant Farmers Market and the lively Summer concert series, Live After 5.

While nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, you're never far from the action. Nearby, you can enjoy great pubs, a community park, a bike rental shop, and a neighborhood grocery store. The house is ideally located within blocks of everything: the beach, golf courses, boating, hiking and biking trails, fishing spots, cliff diving, the city marina, parasailing, batting cages, tennis courts, theaters, ice cream shops, shopping, city parks, pubs, and restaurants. Public transportation and the Coeur d'Alene Lake Resort are also close by, and Silverwood Theme Park is just a short drive away.
