Beautiful home!

This house had something for each of the eight of us, ages 8 to 77. The Hobbit Hole was perfect for the 8 and 10-year old; the pool table was great for all; the fire pit provided great s’mores. The “hot tub” would be better described as a jacquzi in the master bath.We enjoyed the day at the nearby beach with the Wreck of the Peter Iredale.

Perfect Fishing Stay

A fantastic get away when you are going for fishing. Hosts were very accommodating and when we left luggage behind they shipped it for us. Would stay again.

Great Place!

This house is great for a large group! It has plenty of space to spread out, multiple bedrooms/bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and the backyard is super cute! I would love to come in the summer and enjoy the fire pit. The host was very responsive. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Family Stay

This house is amazing for a family gathering, we immediately felt right at home. The kitchen was perfect for family meals, the fire pit in the backyard was a great place to gather, and we were close to everything that we wanted to see. We will definitely be back for another visit, thank you!

A great friends getaway

We had a girls weekend at this coastal retreat and were quite pleased with the property and location. There were 5 of us, and each of us had our own room. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean and lovely. The location was great because it was close to Astoria where we spent some time during the days. Overall, I would suggest this property for a group of friends or a family.

We had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect. The kitchen has everything you need, plenty of bath towels. The kids came in the house saying this is the best house ever. Eagles Nest Retreat

A lovely updated vacation home with private backyard nestled in a grove of trees, enjoy bird watching each morning with your coffee! Plenty of room for our family, we prepared meals in a well equipped kitchen and enjoyed a barbeque on the back porch. It was an easy walk to Fred Meyer for last minute ingredients for a banana cake. Only about a 10 minute drive to Astoria.

Great rental with lots of space for a large family

The family had a great stay. Kids loved the hobbit room and the pool table. Plenty of space and bathrooms for large family. Charming appointments. Owner provide movies and books for our enjoyment. Close to shopping but no traffic noise.

Family Get Away

We enjoyed out time at Eagle's Nest. The teenagers really had fun playing pool in the game room. (Bring quarters.) The kitchen was well stocked with all the utinelsels, dishes and cookware that might be needed. The beds were comfortabe with good quality linens and pillows. We'd happily stay here again.

Neat place!

What a cool property with lots of rooms. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen. It poured down rain during our 2 night stay so we didn't use the fire pit out back. The beautiful wood all throughout the house was beautiful and created such a warm environment. Thanks for a great stay!

A little something for everyone

Great property - We had 5 adults and 2 teenage boys and the the house was perfectly laid out. A loft and pool table for the teenage boys a private suite and the other two rooms all perfectly separated for privacy. A fun little hobbit door with for more beds that my grand kids loved playing in when they visited a great fire pit out back for room for everyone to hangout around in the evening. Conveniently located ear stores and a quick drive to spend the day in Astoria

Was great for what we needed, misleading on hot tub and fire pit, neighbors took photos of us

Overall generally ok with the rental. Easy in, easy out, and clean. Pool table was fun for my sons to pass a little time. The advertisement is misleading relating to having a hot tub. There is not hot tub in the normal sense. I was expecting to be able to sit on patio / outside and enjoy a hot tub soak. Instead, what we found out was that the “hot tub” was really just a jetted tub in the master bedroom. My sons were disappointed for sureAlso, there was a fire pit but it had a cover on it and no rules or regs around the use of it. Lastly, neighbors across street took photos of us when we arrived. I’m guessing they take exception to the property being a rental? Renters shouldn’t be subjected to that….was awkward to say the leastAccess to Astoria and seaside was perfect. Right in the middle.

We (the several generations) that own, built and care for this wonderful home, would like to welcome you to our one-of-a-kind beach retreat. You will never find another home quite like this one... Every piece of wood in this home was handcrafted by our family as it was built from the ground up. Each item in the home has a story to be told by someone who we consider family. We have spent the past 30 years building what is now a place to create memories with your loved ones, cook food, catch fish, roast mellows and tell stories by the fire.

This (original) home/property has been in the family for over 100 years. It started as a small 400 sq ft fishing/home that was built from reclaimed wood after a shipwreck in the area. Over the past five generations we have rebuilt, added-on and recreated the home to fit our large, extended family (Ohana). Never forgetting where it all started, we have tried to maintain the warmth and love that this amazing home has always provided us. It has taken many years to get to where we are now, and we want nothing more then to share our home with others. We hope that this home will give you the many great memories that it has for us!

From laying in the hammock on the front porch, watching the Eagles nest in the nearby trees, to the two jacuzzi tubs to soak in. The hardest decision you will have to make while staying here will be choosing which of the 3 fires you want to snuggle up next to at night!
