Alma's location is also perfect as it's just a short 5 minute stroll to Ramsgate town, Royal Marina and Beach.

A secluded passageway will lead you to the entrance of this delightful cottage. Step down (steep step) into a quaint lounge adorned with a wood-beamed ceiling, a comfy sofa, a dining table for two, a television, and a fireplace with a log-burning stove (logs provided November - March), there is gas central heating as well. Beyond lies a modern country-style kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, induction hob, oven, microwave, and all the essentials for your culinary endeavours. The quaint stable door opens to a small courtyard, where you can unwind with a glass of wine under the twinkle of fairy lights.

Steeped in History, Wrapped in Comfort:
Ascend the stairs to a generously sized bedroom boasting a double bed and ample storage. The bedroom, with window shutters for peaceful slumber, leads to a bathroom up a few small steps. The bathroom features a classic roll-top bath with an overhead shower, washbasin, and toilet.

Thoughtful Touches:
Fresh towels, linen, toiletries, and a kitchen essential pack await your arrival. Please note that toiletries may differ from those shown in the photos.

A Step into History, A Stay to Remember:
Mind the step as you enter through the front door, and take note of the slightly steep stairs to the bedroom/bathroom (no handrail). Guests with mobility considerations are encouraged to review the listing photos before making a reservation.

Travelling by road: The M20 and M2 motorways provide easy links from London into Thanet.

Ramsgate train station is approx 1.5 miles away and is regularly served by Southeastern High Speed services travelling to/from London St Pancras as well trains from London Victoria. The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station

National Express runs a national network of coach services. Coaches run from London Victoria to various stops in Thanet and take approximately 2 hours.

Frequent bus services: the Thanet Loop serves Margate, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood Cross.


Alma Cottage warmly welcomes babies, with the option to bring your own travel cot or conveniently hire a travel cot and high chair package for £15 for up to 7 nights (subject to availability).

Compliementry Logs and Kindling are supplied between November and March. There is a charge outside of these months.

The accommodation is accessed via a digital smart lock with a key fob.
