This was our 3rd year staying at the lake house. It was clean, welcoming, and a great place to stay for the whole family! We love that we can bring our boat and play on the lake all day! The fenced yard, deck, and patio are perfect for hanging out and making memories. We will be back!

Our Summer favorite

Our family has been coming to this Lakehouse for 8 years. The communication is excellent and the house provides everything we need. We love that the house is dog friendly and they are safe in the backyard. We cook all meals at the lake and generally find everything we need in the kitchen. We love to boat and fish and swim and we have the best time here. It’s casual and perfect for our family.

Very nice lake house!!!

We loved staying at the lake house! This was our second time staying here and we enjoyed hanging out with family and fishing! The views are beautiful with 2 outside patios, fenced yard, and boat dock. It was a wonderful week!

Loved our stay

We enjoyed our stay at the lake. The pier was perfect for fishing and enjoying the lake. We loved that the back yard was fenced, it made it easier for our dogs to enjoy being outside. The property and home was clean.

We have stayed here several times
..that should tell you how much we like it! The house is roomy, very clean, with a great fenced yard and nice dock. Tina is great to work with and always responds quickly to any questions we have. We will definitely be staying again!

We live 7 hours away and hate staying in hotels. This house was perfect for us and our family that lives in Mabank to visit us. Will definitely be staying here again! Great Family Reunion

This home is exactly as listed except for one thing - it's better! The owners were so very helpful when we the electricity was cut off during a pretty rough storm and it was a very safe place for us to be. The home and its grounds were clean and had everything we needed for 4 cousins to enjoy a must needed reunion. Thank you for such a good place to rest, relax and enjoy your beautiful view!

Nice spacious location on the lake.

Nice quiet location on the lake. Spacious hangout areas. Great fenced in yard for a toddler. Furniture is a bit dated but OK. Internet access not consistently fast, an upgrade here would be nice but if not an option then give guests a heads up and it would be fine. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Stay at cedar creek lake

The house was very comfortable and accommodating. We found just a few of the dishes in the cabinets were not clean. Unfortunately the lake level was down due to no rain. But overall this was a great place to stay.. everyone enjoyed the pool table and the ping pong tables.

We love this place & keep coming back!

From the time you walk in the door, you feel right at home here. Late nights are spent playing ping pong & pool, while the days are spent enjoying the water. The boat & jet ski lifts work great. We appreciate the fenced yard for our dog. If you are looking for a great spot on the lake, comfortable home, tech features you rely on, this has it all. Tina is a gracious host and has thought of all the right details. We look forward to coming back again soon!

KELLY 2020 LABOR DAY WEEKEND

This is a great property and the owners are very accommodating and accessible. The house is very roomy and equipped with everything you need! There were 10 of us so the 4 bedrooms were great. Everyone had a great time using the ping pong and pool table. The outside decks and dock were perfect and the kids caught numerous perch, catfish, and even a couple of small bass. The neighbor’s are very nice too.. You can’t go wrong renting this property! Thank you Tina and Jerry for sharing your lake home with us!

Kelly Labor Day Weekend 2023

This is our 3rd time to use this property and we love it. It meets our needs in all aspects from a roomy house to a fenced yard for our dogs and we love the pool/ping pong table. Although the lake was low (as it was in 2022) we had a great time......after all we can't control the weather. As long as we are able and kept having our family Labor Day Weekend we will definitely be back! When we had had an issue Tina & Jerry took care of it immediately! Thanks again Tina & Jerry. We look forward to using your property again and again.

A favorite family getaway

We have been renting for many years and this home was in our top 2 experiences. Great spot on the lake and the house was comfortable and very clean. My kids loved the video games and made use of the ping pong table daily. We took a jet ski & boat and were pleased to have a great lift and easy access to the water. The bedrooms were large and roomy and the fact that there were tv's in most rooms was appreciated. All beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for everyone to have a place to retreat. Our dogs loved the yard and with a little ingenuity we were able to secure the full yard so they could roam a bit more freely. We are already thinking about when we can come back. I would highly recommend this lovely home.

Right on the lake

This is a modular home right on the water. The home was very spacious. We loved having the fenced in yard and dock. The beds were very comfortable and there was soap and toilet paper. The kitchen was really big and there was a small extra fridge. Being on the lake there is a lot of bugs. Bring bug spray and candles. Also, the steps are very slippery when it is raining. My husband slipped down them letting the dog out one morning. The neighborhood is full of stray dogs and run down but once you get on the dock that all goes away. We enjoyed our stay and loved being on the lake. We had a great time at this home.

Labor Day weekend family fun

Pictures do not do it justice here! The house was perfect with gorgeous views of the lake from the patio. The house is SO spacious which was perfect for the 10 adults in the house. Inside: Kitchen was well equipped with plenty pots and pans for cooking + Dishwashing soap to clean them. I would pack extra trash bags, sponge and paper towels. Game room: plenty of paddles and pool sticks for multi players and extra room for “fans” to watch. Bedrooms/bathrooms: had everything needed. Even toiletries If you forget yours. Kids’ room even had nostalgic video game systems like a nes, n64, and Ps2 which was fun for the adults! Thank you to Jerry and Tina for sharing your space it was the PERFECT space for our family vacation.

Nice and Spacious House

We enjoyed our week at the Great Escape House. We celebrated 10 years of renting lake houses. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The ping pong/pool table was great to have if you wanted to get out of the heat for awhile. The kitchen was nice and spacious and loved the middle bar area. The ice maker came in handy and crock pot. There was plenty of silverware, plates, bowls and children's kitchen ware. I would recommend bringing a good non stick skillet. The yard was large enough to play games and the kids enjoyed a swimming pool we brought. We had our boat with us and the boat lift was great. The water was about 4ft at the end of the pier. The grandkids enjoyed climbing the nice ladder and jumping off the pier. The water level was down about a foot. The cove the lake house is in, was very wide and we enjoyed skiing right in front of the house. There were plenty of beach towells and outside chairs available to use. The bar-b-que gas grill worked great. We really had a great time. When we contacted Tina, she was very helpful and nice to work with. The neighbor Lou was a sweetheart!

Family of 5 @ Great Escape on Cedar Creek

Communication with the host was always prompt, friendly & professional. The home was clean & had plenty of room for my family of 5 adults. I did mention to the host a few minor issues found that needed attention by the cleaning crew between guests. The bedrooms were spacious & beds comfortable. The master king sized bed is very high so my 83 y.o. mother could not easily get on or off the bed given her height & instability, & feared falling out of it in the middle of the night for restroom break so she slept on the twin bed located in the master bedroom. The twin bed was comfortable but wasn't the bed size she's accustomed to so turning side-to-side woke her. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook meals. The backyard was spacious & clean, my dog loved it! The area had alot of rain prior to our arrival & the first 2 days/nights of our stay so the backyard was soft during our stay & had a few spots closest to the waters edge that held water. The boat slip/dock was clean & well maintained. I enjoyed a lounge chair that is kept under the home; easy access. I loved the easy lake access/steps! Nice neighbors. I have 3 recommendations: 1) consider changing path (driveway to front door) from cobblestone to concrete so elderly can safely maneuver, 2) add non-slip strips across the full length of porch steps - my nephew slipped on a wet step while standing to his grandmothers' side when assisting her down the steps,3) add a grab bar or shower chair in the master bath for elderly.

Not Again

We traveled 280 miles and our boat trailer broke an axle 1/2 mile from the destination on a Sunday afternoon. This left us helpless in the middle of no where. If it wasn't for a helpful passerby we would have been stuck. I called the owner and explained our problem. Other than telling me we could check-in late and they would not turn the security back on, the conversation was all about her not us. So, we finally got towed and spent the night. The next morning we found a repair center and by the end of the day they had our trailer repaired. This would leave us one day to try to de-stress and enjoy the lake. That night at 945 PM the owner telephoned us and said they had a roof repairment scheduled the next day. I told her we were stressed enough and that it was not acceptable for interruptions by a service person while we were occupying the property. I then said we would need to check out the next morning instead of house sitting for a repairman or listening to someone working on the roof. I told her she should refund the third day based on her and our circumstances. There are a few other things to be aware of at this stay. Add up the cleaning fee, required damage insurance, and Service fee. You must take out the trash about a mile away to a locked dumpster area with stray dogs running around and return the key to the house. Why can't the cleaners do this?? The house was clean and comfortable. During the conversations the owner always just talked about themselves. Not us.
