Casa Tieve Tara is a beautiful restored Italian farmhouse, built to exacting modern standards. The property enjoys the sun from the softly coloured dawn to prosecco sunset. Alfresco dining, for relaxing breakfasts, languid lunches and dinner, is situated alongside a luxury kitchen. Five minutes drive from Sant' Angelo with its supermarket, bars, three restaurants, pharmacy and bank. Adriatic sandy beaches with safe bathing and fresh fish restaurants are less than an hour's drive. Mountain drives and walks, lake swimming, canoes, etc, all 50 minutes away. Macerata, the provincial capital (30 mins), hosts a famous open-air opera festival in July/August. High-profile brand outlets, eg Tods, are close for shopping.

Tieve Tara has been furnished by the owners as a home and contains quality furnishings along with selected antiques. The house is spacious, cosy and welcoming, and any number of guests, whether 2 or 8, will feel at home.
The house has electric gates and is totally private.
Pay attention: the swimming pool is closed from Oct 15th - May 15th. The property extends to 21 acres of which 14 are fenced rolling meadows, olive trees and gardens surrounding the house.
7 acres are forest and woodland which you look over as you enjoy the general view over the pastoral valleys towards the backdrop of the Sibilini Mountains.

Our location is the perfect holiday balance, whether relaxing by the pool or exploring 'Italy's best-kept secret' - Le Marche.

We had an incredible stay. Everything lived up to, or exceeded, expectations (and we’d seen some amazing reviews, but we agree!) An amazing house, welcome pack, swimming pool and views greeted us, and gave a wonderful week’s holiday. All correspondence with owners was efficient, speedy and full of details. We enjoyed some amazing trips out and restaurants, following reviews when we did leave the property. We’re very much looking for an opportunity to return!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Wonderful property

Had a lovely two weeks here. Tieve Tara is a fantastic place to stay, whether lounging by the pool - enjoying the scenery and the wildlife - or out visiting the nearby towns. Quiet and beautiful Italy

We booked a week here in Sant’Angelo in Pontano to see Italy that exists away from typical tourist spots. We experienced a beautiful countryside, some fun day trips to other small cities and found amazing food and wine abounds.

Wonderful holiday

We had a great stay at Tieve Tara. It was very well equipped and felt very homely. The views are superb and we made lots of use of the pool during our stay. Communication was also excellent. Overall, a fantastic two weeks in an amazing part of Italy!

Amazing country home

The home is exactly as in the pictures. Comfortable sitting area, large kitchen, spacious dining room, and roomy nicely decorated bedrooms. Home is on a large property and although the weather did not cooperate the outside sitting area definitely adds to the appeal of this vacation rental.

Unforgettable

Staying at Tieve Tara was fabulous. The house has everything you can dream of, certainly for people who like to cook as the kitchen is so incredibly well equipped (although the restaurant at the top of the road is also great). And the view from the pool is just breath taking. This region of Le Marche is still a kind of a hidden gem, where you barely meet tourists. We had an unforgettable stay and recommend the house (with its lovely owners) to anyone!

Fabulous place and house!

We spent absolutely fabulous two weeks in this lovely house. After visiting many vacation houses around Italy in recent years, we all agreed, from everyone's individual perspective, that this place is a perfect one. It just feels like home, welcoming, friendly, intuitive, with every possible detail taken care of by the hosts. While staying there we especially appreciated the way we could comfortably use the outdoor table and chill-out areas as they are perfectly shielded from the sun. And the building itself is simply charming, with all you can think you may need. Great place, great time. We highly recommend it.

Fabulous home on a beautiful estate with gorgeous views

Our family of 5 stayed in this beautiful house for a week. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and it is located on a large private estate with various comfortable lounge areas and incredible views. The children loved it too, especially the large swimming pool. The owners are extremely nice and do everything to make the stay perfect. We did many little trips in the area: Sibillini mountains, visiting the beautiful hill top villages and the beach. And it was every day a pleasure to return to this beautiful home. We could not recommend it more highly. Thank you very much Kristl and Paul for an unforgettable week!

Peace and tranquility!

We had a fantastic stay at Tieve Tara. Located in a wonderfully secluded position with stunning views, the house is just outside the pretty village of Sant Angelo in Pontano. Great care and thought has been taken to make sure everything is provided for – and comprehensive house notes help to explain everything in the house as well as the local area. It really feels like a loved home. There is a great kitchen, well equipped for anyone who loves cooking. Sant Angelo in Pontano has all the amenities you need and there are many excellent restaurants within a short drive. We would highly recommend Tieve Tara and have booked to return in 2015 – what better endorsement!

Perfect holiday home in Le Marche

Tieve Tiara was a fabulous choice for our family holiday in Le Marche. It is clearly a much loved and used holiday home as everything has been thought of to make your stay as enjoyable and easy as possible. It was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well equipped, beds comfy and bonus for my children satellite tv. The pool was the highlight though with fantastic views of the surrounding hills and farmland. Within short driving distances are beautiful medieval towns, roman ruins and cisterns to explore, a fossil museum , great restaurants, beaches, a water park and the national park and mountains to explore. Though for us as we have visited the area before we were just happy to spend most of our time at the villa enjoying the pool, the views, the quiet and BBQs. Another hit were the local villages with playgrounds with views and kiosks serving local wines and snacks. Communication with the owner, Dorothy, was easy and prompt. She was so helpful and provided all info needed. A big thank you to Dorothy and her family for sharing their piece of Le Marche with guests and also to the staff who help run the place. We would highly recommend staying at Tieve Tara.

Best house & hosts ever!!!

After 20 years of renting holiday homes, this was truly the best in every aspect. We found the house to be in immaculate condition and in a perfect state of cleanliness. The house is designed to maximize comfort and relaxation, and the furnishings and equipment throughout the house are of very high quality. In the kitchen was a fantastic “Welcome package” in terms of variety and quality. After a long journey, it allowed us to have a truly delicious meal without more travel. Kristl and Paul also helped us with difficulties during the replacement of our rental car, specifically in obtaining transportation between the house and the rental car office. Without Kristl and Paul’s help we could not have managed this. Kristl and Paul continually ensured that we had all the help that we needed, by occasionally contacting us in a most sincere and kind way. The information supplied by the owners, Kristl and Paul, is impressively thorough and practical. The location of the house has astounding views from both inside and outside the house in the lovely gardens, over a very large property which guarantees you the quietest of stays. The surrounding villages repeatedly impressed us with the friendliness of the locals, the delicious food and wines. The experience was of a part of Italy that has yet to become overwhelmed by tourists. We will never forget our amazing hosts, Kristl and Paul, and are dreaming of our return there.

Sommerurlaub 2025

Wir hatten wunderschöne zwei Wochen in Tieve Tara. Man spürt die Liebe die Kristl und Paul in ihr schönes Haus stecken. Alles war gepflegt, ordentlich und sauber.Bei Fragen gab es sehr schnellen Support von Paul, so konnten wir unseren Urlaub wirklich geniessen. Der Pool, die Aussicht, Fauna und Flora gaben viel zum Erkunden daher. Hervorheben möchte ich auch die grosse Herzlichkeit von Anila und Janfranco, sie gaben dem Ganzen von das Itüpfelchen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Exzellentes Domizil

Wir hatten einen Familienurlaub mit 7 Erwachsenen. Das Objekt ist bei weitem schöner, als die Bilder es ausdrücken können. Das ganze Haus perfekt ausgestattet und es fehlte uns an nichts. Besonders die Küche ist hier hervorzuheben. Es gibt ausreichend Geschirr und Arbeitsmittel für nette Kochsessions. Die äußerst hochwertige und geschmackvolle Ausstattung haben es uns vom ersten Moment an leicht gemacht, sich wie Zuhause zu fühlen. Verschiedene Sitzgruppen im und um das Haus herum bieten Möglichkeiten , sich auch einmal zu separieren. Unschlagbar aber ist der 180 Grad-Blick auf die Umgebung. Es könnte keinen bessern Standort geben . Der Ort mit den wichtigsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist schnell mit dem Auto erreicht und die Umgebung bietet genügend Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war zuvorkommend, hilfreich und einfach. Volle Punktzahl für dieses Juwel.besseren Standort geben.

Das Haus und die gesamte Anlage - v.a. auch der Pool - sind ideal für eine erholsame Zeit. Vor Ort gibt es wirklich alles, was man für einen tollen Urlaub braucht. Komplett und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders die Kommuniakation mit dem Paul, dem Vermieter, war genial. Er hat sich aus der Ferne um uns gekümmert, immer wieder gefragt, ob wir noch etwas brauchen, und sogar noch nach unserer Rückreise gefragt, ob wir gut nach Hause gekommen sind. Einzig der Weg zu Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich und für sportliche Pkws nicht geeignet. Darüber wurden wir aber auch im Vorfeld schon informiert. Absolut zu empfehlen. **********

Ein wundervolles Haus!

Das Anwesen ist wirklich großartig! Man spürt die Liebe zum Detail, mit der alles dekoriert ist. Am besten fanden wir die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten im Garten, so dass man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen finden kann. Genügend Liegen und Sonnenschirme sorgen für weiteres Wohlbefinden. Genossen haben wir außerdem den Wasserzubereiter am Kühlschrank. Sowohl das Haus als auch die Anlage sind sehr gepflegt und tadellos sauber. Der Kontakt mit Kristl und Paul war super, schon während der Fahrt bekamen wir Hinweise, wo es Probleme mit z. B. Strassenschäden geben könnte. Der Kühlschrank war bei Ankunft ebenso gut bestückt, so dass wir uns gleich zu Hause gefühlt haben. Leider hat sich meine Mutter während des Urlaubs den Unterschenkel gebrochen, es war nicht klar, wann wir abreisen würden. Auch hier kann ich den Kontakt zu Kristl und Paul gar nicht hoch genug loben, der sehr verständnisvoll und einfühlsam war. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen, sicherlich eines der Schönsten, in dem wir waren. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Wunderbarer Ort - wonderful place

Das Haus ist wundervoll gelegen und gestaltet. Die Ausstattung ist exzellent. Aber unser Highlight war die so freundliche und hilfsbereite Unterstützung unserer Vermieter :) The house is beautifully situated and designed. The facilities are excellent. But our highlight was the so friendly and helpful support of our landlords :)

Ein Traumhaus, eine herrliche Umgebung, tolle Vermieter

Wir hatten schon einige wunderschöne Ferienhäuser - aber dieses zählt mit zu den Schönsten! Das Haus ist noch schöner und größer als auf den Bildern, picobello sauber, modern eingerichtet und es ist wirklich an alles gedacht. Von dem klug organisierten Check-in, der Willkommensversorgung mit allem was man für die ersten Stunden bis zum Einkauf benötigt, der 1A ausgestatteten Küche, von Steckdosenadaptern über jeglichen Komfort im Wohn- und Essbereich , bequemen Betten, den Beschreibungen der Umgebung und Restaurants und einem herrlichen Garten- und Außenbereich. Jede Menge Sitzecken im Freien - ein schattiger Essbereich neben der Küche, einer neben dem Grill, Liegen und Stühle im ganzen Garten- und Poolbereich, eine Lounge usw. Besonders haben wir natürlich den Pool und die unglaubliche Ruhe genossen. Dennoch war man in 5 Minuten im nächsten Ort, in dem es Restaurants, Bäcker, Metzger und Cafes gibt. Wir haben alle 4 eine unglaublich erholsame, schöne Zeit in Tiere Tara verbracht - vor allem auch dank unseren Gastgebern Kristl und Paul, die nicht freundlicher und hilfsbereiter sein könnten. Vielen Dank für euren unermüdlichen Einsatz , eurer schnellen Erreichbarkeit und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft!

Perfekter Urlaub!

Wir (zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder) durften vom 7. – 21. August einen wunderbaren Urlaub in Tieve Tara genießen. Die Vermieter Kristl und Paul sind großartig. Bereits vor unserem Urlaub wurden wir mit vielen Informationen rund um das Haus und die Anfahrt versorgt. Nach einer extrem langen Anreise haben wir uns sehr über das leckere Willkommens-Paket gefreut, womit wir das erste Abendessen und Frühstück genießen konnten. Tieve Tara ist ein kleiner Traum. Das Haus ist groß, sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, liebevoll dekoriert und absolut gemütlich. Es ist bestens ausgestattet, so dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Die Küchenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. So hat man viel Freude beim Kochen. Draußen blühen rund um das Haus hübsche Blumen. Man kann auf einer sehr schönen überdachten Terrasse sitzen oder in einer Lounge-Ecke chillen. Im Sommer sollte man auf jeden Fall Mückenspray dabeihaben. Ein kleines Häuschen am Pool für zwei Personen mit eigenem Bad ist ideal für ein größeres Kind, was ein bisschen Privatsphäre genießen möchte. Der Pool ist riesig und ein Paradies für Kinder. Es gibt genügend Sonnenschirme und schöne Liegen, um komplett zu entspannen. Vom Pool hat man einen wunderschönen Blick. Tieve Tara liegt absolut ruhig und idyllisch. Es gibt keine Nachbarn, nur Zypressen, Olivenbäume, Felder und Berge in der Ferne. Man hört die Glocken der Schafe einer Schafsfarm und das Zirpen von Grillen – traumhaft. Eigentlich könnte man 14 Tage ausschließlich in Tieve Tara entspannen, so schön ist es. Aber die Marken haben viele hübsche Städte und Naturschönheiten zu bieten, von denen wir eine Menge gesehen haben. Die Vermieter Kristl und Paul sind sehr, sehr freundlich und haben uns auch während des Urlaubs mit Informationen versorgt und nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Es war ihnen äußerst wichtig, dass wir uns wohl fühlen und dass für uns alles bestens ist. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Wir hatten eine perfekte Zeit in Tieve Tara und können nur jedem empfehlen, an diesem wunderschönen Ort Urlaub zu machen.

Dear Katharina and family, how spoiled we are... thank you so much for this extensive and positive review! I am sure it will convince many of our potential guests to choose… Tieve Tara. It was really our pleasure to have such wonderful and sympathetic guests! We will continue to plant mosquito repellent shrubs and herbs around the house and in the garden and also provide plenty of natural oils and sprays. We are even considering having a lavender plantation in the fields surrounding Tieve Tara. This will ensure even far less of those annoying little creatures which unfortunately are to be found in the whole Mediterranean area and even beyond. Luckily the house is fully equipped with mosquito windows as to enjoy a wonderful night rest. Many many thanks again and we are looking forward to welcome you all back at Tieve Tara.

Wunderschön und entspannend

Zwei Wochen Ruhe und Entspannung pur. Das Haus liegt sehr schön mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Die Einrichtung ist top, insbesondere die Küche hatte es uns angetan. Die Betreuung durch die Eigentümer war ebenfalls sehr gut. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

There were many things in addition to the right house, that fell into our decision to purchase a property in Le Marche. We took into consideration the fact that we love the coast, the mountains, Italian food... and wine, lush gardens, easy winding roads in a hilly wonderful countryside spotted with mediaval villages. High up on the list came the friendliness of the Le Marche people - they are so helpful, and welcoming in shops, restaurants etc. Sant'Angelo village turns food shopping into a relaxed occasion.

Tieve Tara is a great place whether you are just a couple, or a group of family/friends to re-charge batteries far from the office, business travel, the classroom and weekly supermarket shop. The ability to relax in such peaceful surrounding is welcomed by all. In addition, with days out to beach, lake or mountain, coupled with excellent restaurants to try, or cooking/BBQ together at home, no wonder our family, friends and guests can't wait to get here! It gives us great pleasure to share everything that is Tieve Tara and the local area, not only with our family but also our guests. A bottle of our own olive oil awaits guests, and any vegetables ready from our vegetable patch.
