The Dairy is a charming single-storey cottage, perfect for a relaxing getaway for two. Step into a warm and inviting lounge complete with a comfortable sofa, Smart TV, and a cosy wood-burner–style electric fire. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, and all the utensils you’ll need for an easy, carefree stay.

The peaceful bedroom adjoins the lounge and can be arranged with either twin beds or a luxurious super-king—simply let us know your preference in the Special Requirements section when booking. From the bedroom, sliding patio doors open onto a delightful private patio and garden area, ideal for morning coffee or unwinding at the end of the day.

An en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle, wash basin, and WC completes this cosy retreat. With central heating throughout, The Dairy offers comfort and tranquillity in every season—your perfect home away from home.

Tucked away on a peaceful rural lane, our cottages offer complete tranquillity. Just a short stroll brings you to the Leeds–Liverpool Canal, perfect for leisurely walks, peaceful fishing, and visiting the many welcoming country inns along the route. The renowned Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere is only two miles away, while the elegant seaside resort of Southport can be reached in just 10 minutes. Conveniently located only seven miles from Junction 27 of the M6, all of the North West’s most popular destinations are within easy reach.

Originally farm buildings dating back over a century, the cottages have been tastefully and professionally converted to provide modern, comfortable, easy-care accommodation while preserving their traditional character and original features.

The Dairy, The Shippon and The Granary are arranged around an enclosed cobbled courtyard. Each cottage varies in size and offers its own distinctive charm and individual style. With full central heating, they are ideal for short breaks or longer stays at any time of year. Our newest cottage, The Stable, is fully accessible for disabled guests, featuring a specially adapted en-suite wet room and its own private driveway.

All cottages are equipped with Smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. The fitted kitchens include an electric cooker, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, and all essential utensils and equipment. Each cottage also boasts a private patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with shared access to a spacious garden and children’s play area.

Electricity, bed linen, and towels are provided at no additional cost. A travel cot, high chair, and safety gate are available on request. Please note that we are a non-smoking establishment and do not accept pets.
