Mountain Ridge Finca with 360 Degree Views
Set in an enviable position with stunning 360 degree views - the best you'll get! This beautiful and large house, full of boho and eclectic charm is encircled with several private terraces for the perfect campo retreat. Situated on our grounds of over five acres, including a 10m x 7m pool it is full of oriental day beds, Rajasthan parasols and our other finds from around the globe. Situated just below the pretty pueblo blanco of Comares, Andalusia. Offering sunshine from sunrise to sunset
The space
Have your very own piece of the dream, get away from it all whilst only 20 minutes from the coast and 45 minutes from Malaga airport. In this adults only hideaway (no under 16's unless whole site is booked), perched at 550m south side of the mountain between olive and almond groves there is plenty of space and privacy, yet the friendly little hamlet of Los Ventorros , Benamargosa, and the village of Comares itself are only a 5-10 minutes drive away.
The surrounding area is great for walking/mountain biking (we have two on the property for guests to use) and boasts the longest zip wire in Spain! Alternatively just sit and chill and enjoy the beautiful views and sunshine.
After having a very successul first two years welcoming a lovley bunch of guests from all over the globe we have recently moved to our new beautiful larger site in what we hope to be our forever home. Our properties now sit in five acres of land includng three seperate properties and a yurt with privacy when you want it...plus ample space in the many shared areas to meet new people and still ensure safety in the "new normal".
We pride ourselves on creating a stunning and unique place, full of eclectic charm. The large private two bed casa (which can sleep 6 with a double sofa bed in the lounge) benefits from lots of space and light and simply unrivaled views from every window.
Bedroom1.
With King size hand carved wooden baroque bed with 100% cotton linen. Decorated with oriental rugs and lovely antique mirrors you can lie in bed staring at the mountain views!
Bedroom 2. With solid wood double bed with 100% cotton linen. Decorated with oriental rugs and beautiful mirrors you can lie in bed staring at the mountain views! This bedroom also benefits from an en suite shower room and toilet.
There is also a spacious main bathroom with roll top bath on this floor.
Downstairs.
There is an expansive lounge and dining room with wood burning stove. Full of oriental rugs, morrocan furniture, and lots of querky decorations. The views are spectacular, it also benefits from rear french doors that open up onto your own private terraces with seating and dining areas along with outside day beds.
There is a fully equipt kitchen including dishwasher.
There is a bbq area along with several additional terraces for taking in what are truly spectacular views across La Teja and La Maroma. Additional down the gardens and stairs you have access to all the many shared terraces full of antique opium day beds etc along with huge pool 7m x 10m and 2m depth (deep end). BBQs available for use (both gas and coal. please note coal not permitted during summer season due to fire regulations in area).
Internet.
We have free unlimited WiFi across all spaces with a shared max dl speed of 50mb and up speed of 20mb. You will have your own private network in and around your property then use a shared guest network around pool and shared spaces. All information will be supplied to you when checking in.
Guest access
COVID-19 UPDATE
Casa Estrella has its own private entrance, not shared with other guests nor us as hosts. Self check in and check out is available. An enhanced cleaning and disinfection regime is in place based on the recommendations of the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Guest safety is paramount.
Casa Estrella has over 5 private terraces solely for use by those who book and stay. These spaces are outlined in the images. Please take the time to review this.
We have hand santising stations on all shared terraces.
The large pool is shared with a maximum of 6 guests in addition to yourselves at any given time. Our many terraces to lounge give ample space to bathe in the sun with only a few steps to reach the pool for a cooling dip.
There are plenty of terraces and secluded nooks and crannies to relax, along with outside eating and lounge areas with day beds etc. Perfect for a good book or listening to some great tunes. The mountain views from the swimming pool will have you gazing all day! The property is accessed via a short 50m track from the main comares Road.
Guest interaction
We live on the same grounds in a seperate private property, therefore are on hand when needed to ensure your stay is as perfect as possible, whilst allowing you the privacy of your own space and private outside terraces, as well as the many and extensive shared terraces and pool in our grounds of over 5 acres. We will welcome you in person and can provide any support you need as well as information on the local area. We also have other accomodation options to suit different size parties, including a beautiful yurt so please do contact us about these even if calendar shows unavailable or you are looking for a group booking!
Please note we have recently taken over the property/land and have completely refurbished and upgrading the property and grounds with our beautiful antiques and quirky finds from around the world!
So how do we/ guests describe hammock and stars? Well yes it's a private rental with your own private space but it's a bit like a mini exclusive resort. The pool and shared spaces are cared for by us. Pool is cleaned every day when in use, cholrine and ph monitered and adjusted. The shared spaces are swept and tidied each day and we work on the gardens regularly. We're there to light all the lanterns and make it look pretty at night. Want a outdoor cinema night? no problem! Catering onsite for those lazy evenings- but of course! You can have a much or add little interaction with us as you want!
Neighborhood overview
Comares is known as the 'balcony of Axerquia' and has breathtaking views of the countrysie and the coast... and of an exceptionally clear day even Africa is visible, yet its only 20 mins from coast. Superb walking, climbing, biking territory....or just for a bit of gentle visiting of the lovely towns or lounging and getting some well deserved R&R. We are also only a 10 minute drive from the traditional town of benamargosa with its full range of amenities.
Getting around
Unlike many campo/mountain houses ours is totally accessible off main road and short 50m track.
Taxi Transfers from Malaga Airport available (Ask for details).
Parking room for hire car.
Whilst hire car isn't required we are up a mountain so if you want to get out and about a hire car is a good idea although we'll happily ferry you up to local supermarket for supplies if you are just coming for a short break and just want to chill in the sun.
Other things to note
Due to the location & style of our property and the vibe our customers enjoy, Casa De Suenos, Casa Estrella and Casita Rosa are over 16s only, unless the entire site is rented.
First box of Logs are provided. After that you can purchase locally at garages or we can provide at cost price to us (€4 a box)
